Visited this restaurant recently for lunch . The restaurant is located vasanthpura Kanakapura main road , on the way to konankunte cross , just before Insight academy school and after bulldog tennis academy . The building is pretty big hence can be located easily while travelling .
The restaurant is located in the basement level while the ground floor is a coffee shop .
They have south indian meals prices at 125 bucks but they don't have north indian meals instead they have north indian buffet prices at 215 + tax ...which is a pretty interesting idea .
Coming to food - 1.fruit punch - sadly the buffet started off really bad , the fruit punch had a weird taste to it , like someone had added too much lemon and muskmelon . 2.hot and sour - my confidence went up after tasting the soup , the soup was thick and extremely tasty . It was exactly as the name said hot and sour , there just the right amount of spice and tanginess to it . Extremely good . 3.salads and papad . 4.panner chilly - sadly it wasn't hot hence the panner had dried out , the weird thing about the dish though was that I found a lot of potato along with the panner , it wasn't a bad thing but given the name panner chilly I found more potato than chilly . 5.butter naan - it was good enough , the naan was soft and had generous dose of butter and the size was adequate . Dal fry- it was an amazing dal fry , one of the best I have had . It had the right amount of spice to it and the right consistency of the dal ( not diluted or dry ) . Mix veg - it was ok ok nothing too impressive . It was spicy and had lot of veggies . 8.kadai panner - the panner curry was really good , it had generous pieces of panner and it was spicy and tasty. 9.veg biryani - it was amazing ! The flavour was just heavenly . It is one of the most amazing veg biryani I have ever had . The basumati rice , the deep spices flavour induced in it . It was a whole new level ! And it went with the dal extremely well . 10.white rice and rasam - it was good , a basic rasam but it was hot so very much satisfied . Curd rice - it was very weird that the curd rice was served in small cups ( probably a porcelain ice cream cup) . Fortunately the good taste made up for the bad presentation , the curds rice was fresh and moist , it wasn't dry . And it also had generous portion of pomogrenate 12.sweet ( rice kheer) - it was extremely good! Though a poor man's desert it was extremely good in taste ! The right of amount of sweetness infused with the spices was heavenly ! I personally had 3 cups of it ! 13 .ice cream - I was surprised for a price 215 I get to choose ice cream from 6 flavours ! All were good , none of them were bad .
Overall all a really good experience ! For a price for 215 + tax it was a steal! Given that the ambience was like that of a high end restaurant and the food quality was extremely good! .
Points cut for lack of good service , few bad dishes...

It’s been a while since we’ve eaten @ the Fine Flavors restaurant in Panchavati Comforts off Kanakapura Main Road. So this time, we decided to try out the a-la-carte menu. I’m told there are some new offerings and when I checked out the a-la-carte menu it turned out that the new offerings are mostly dhaba style Punjabi dishes. We began with tomato soup, concocted to a fine consistency. A tandoori platter arrived & we couldn’t help commenting on the soft paneer, guess it’s made fresh. Then a special mention of Vegetable Shikampuri Kebab, which is something veggies enjoy, considering they don’t eat Hyderabadi kebabs. A nice thing about this restaurant is that the north Indian food is prepared by a north Indian. So thankfully, everything is authentic. We enjoy dhaba kind of food, so we tried the pindi chole & we just loved it because the kabuli chana & chana dal combo gave it a special flavor. It was great with butter kulcha. Then we were tempted to try the Rawanpindi Rajma, believe me the rajma was so soft, almost like melt-in-the mouth. Let me tell you, this happens only when rajma is soaked overnight. Even a basic like dal tadka turned out to be so fresh & nice, probably due to the tempering & the aroma from the spices as well. It was a perfect choice with white rice. My co-diner described palak paneer as a fine version of blanched spinach and soft paneer. Then we ordered Hyderabadi biryani, the roma, flavor & dum cooking…superb. Hot & soft gulab jamoon completed the meal. We had gone with a bunch of people so two people opted for the Panchavati thali, which is a wholesome offering. My friend likes Indo-Chinese food, so I’m told the veg noodle soup was amazing. Then she felt the salad was healthy & crunchy. A katori of aloo gobi Shimla mirch with roti was great & why not, considering soft aloo with crunchy gobi & a bit tangy Shimla mirch…great. I couldn’t help sampling a katori of dal methi with rice. Nicely cooked dal with a slight bitter methi & steamed rice….need we say more? Mushroom fried rice was also relishable. The a-la-carte menu & thali are on from Monday to Thursday & both are worth...
Read moreThe person who operates the restaurant is extremely arrogant. When I requested him to share the day's menu, he had the audacity to say that he is not going to send. The excuse was that I had not visited the restaurant for lunch the last time he had sent the menu. And he said he would not send the menu anymore.
When it comes to food, they claim to serve pancakes for breakfast and serve sweet dosas. If you expect actual pancakes you are the victim of a practical joke. With restaurants which serve buffets and unlimited meals mushrooming in every other street, people with this behavior deserve to be treated like cholera.
Heartfelt curses to the...
