Where should I begin, {Flechazo Group} has been a household favourite with umpteen requests from family (especially my daughter) to visit the restaurant again, & again. Kids these days with such low attention span, wanting to revisit a place more than once!, these guys must be doing something right.
I have been to the slightly far Marathalli outlet several times, with friends & family, as recommendations to friends & family, it had always remained a favourite.
So when there is an new outlet that is open, much closer home, it’s obvious that my family wants to visit Flechazo, again. Though I know that it is just another reason to visit Flechazo.
As always, after a warm welcome & a swift seating, we were bombarded with what would call a Starter Storm. The Oyster Chicken (essentially Wok tossed Chicken in Oyster sauce) was an absolute family favourite, we never said never to the endless servings. The Mutton Seekh was equally delicious, we loved every bite.
The seafood starters were an absolute delight as well, the prawns were extremely fresh & juicy, the fish firm & fresh.
In between the Starter Storm, we did have a shower of their usual welcome drinks, and a specials selection at just Rs. 99 each. With the onset of summer on a slightly hot Bangalore, we managed to gulp down 3 of their signature mocktails. The Desi Orange had a very refreshing taste with an added tangy sourness through the masala infusion. The Watermelon Punch has the strong flavours of, off course Watermelon, with an added twist of cranberry & lime. The De Appibasil was an equally refreshing drink with the added twist of basil. We loved all of them, though we couldn’t pick a winner, while there is more options to try.
With all the rush into gorging all the goodness, we forgot that there is a huge buffet spread as well, we had to abdruptly stop the starter service & jump to mains, but only after sampling the wide variety of live counters.
The Sushi & Dimsum from the Rotator Menu were not gourmet, but definitely a joy to enjoy for first timers who were sceptical to give them a try before. I have always loved the Arabian Italian twist, the Chicken Shawarma Bruschetta my favourite, that I keep visiting the counter for multiple servings of this wonderful bite sized appetiser.
The live pizza making counter is a delight to engage kids & helps them don the chef’s hat in making their own customised special pizza. The standard pizza’s that can be requested at your table from this wood fired over is far more than good.
Just as the starters, the Main course options were wide, with no complaints. Be it the Biriyani, or the curries, Flechazo gets full points on this. The curries were extremely well prepared, delicious to the core. My favourite was the crab curry, no no no, the chicken curry, nope the Mutton Gravy, nooooo, the fish gravy. You know what, I couldn’t pick a winner, so wouldn’t be you. Which is why you will see a pic of a plate full of rice sections, with each gravy on every side of the round plate.
The Nitro Icecream is a crowd pleaser, with so much drama around ice cream made freshly in front of your eyes in seconds, the Kids & the Kids at heart are equally amused.
The wide range of Indian desserts, fruit parfait, fresh bakes, puddings, custards, cheesecakes, cut fruits...... you never run out of options in the Flechazo Dessert Selections.
I have been to this outlet of Flechazo upon an invite as well as on my own. The food quality, taste & options have always been top notch. The staff are very polite & friendly, they go out if their way to fulfil your whims & fancies. Like when daughter was terribly disappointed with the ice gola not being available in this specific outlet, they ensured that she was given a bowl of crushed ice with syrup, which definitely made her whine less.
Overall a lovely place for amazing food, good to go as a huge group for those loud Birthday | Anniversary celebrations or for a cozy family dinner. Flechazo has remained a family favourite & will...
Read moreAMBIENCE The place is large and spacious with ample seating. Dedicated seating for parties is available where a good spacious section of restaurant is partially separated from the rest. Long chair seating for corporate is available in good number as corporate dining here is quite a hit. Seating for groups and couples is also in place, and is couch and cushion based with tables being wooden.
A central wood fired pizza oven, apparently, is also in place. Main course counter finds place next to the kitchen located on one side while desserts counter is established in the centre of the place. At the very entrance is a running conveyor where food shots – small portions of food, are running and to be picked up by the guests.
FOOD and DRINKS
°Non alcoholic fruit sangria° This fruity mocktail had a visible mix of pomegranate, apple and strawberry and a very evident flavor of muskmelon and kiwi. Sangria syrup was used and over all , a very revitalizing drink.
°Starters°
Tandoori mushrooms were excellent, juicy and evident tandoor flavor.
Murgh malai tikka was good and nicely spiced. However wasn’t very soft and bit chewy, also lacked consistency.
Afghani murg tikka was decent. Could be more soft.
BBQ sauce chicken wing was really good and was adequately sauced.
Paprika potato wedges were amazing, rightly spiced and less oily, however they also lacked consistency in cooking time.
Vegetarian spring rolls were less oily and had good amount of nicely prepared stuffing.
Chicken Shawarma with garlic aioli is a must try starter, rendering a succulent flavor.
Corn and falafel tikki was fine, nothing extraordinary, had mild flavor. Could have been more masaledar.
Singapore chilli prawns had a nice chilli sauce flavor and were very crispy.
Mutton seekh kebab were done really well, juicy and really soft to bite.
Not a fan of pineapple in starters but this sauce pineapple starter was amazing and had sweet yet spicy touch to it.
Paneer 65 were good, real juicy and had regular southern delight’s flavor.
Crispy corn kernels were also done well. Not at all soggy.
Veg and non veg sandwich were both small sized with decent filling and cream. Veg was in regular bread whereas chicken in brown bread. The same can be customised.
The minced mutton tikki was a true delight, a must order. Real soft and real crispy.
°Food Shots°
This section of starters ran on a conveyor. A very unique concept to flechazo. Small portions of food to be taken and consumed was the very idea.
The mutton keema with kulcha was exceptionally good, very flavorful and having a good blend of spices, minced and cooked to perfection.
°Mains°
Moti veg biryani was good and murgh biryani amazing, however the chicken pieces wasn’t very fleshy. Singapore stir fry noodles were fine and mushroom and corn lasagna good, not very cheesy. Mutton hara piyaza had very succulent home like gravy and the best part of mains. However the mutton piece was little uncooked. Kadai chicken was amazing and had the expected taste. Large delicious chunks of chicken were available. Paneer tikka masala was average, had some tanginess to it while jeera aloo were yum.
Dal makhni was towards the sweeter side yet tasted good.
°Desserts°
Fresh cut fruits, tiramisu , raspberry souffle, yougurt parafaits, caramel custard, marble pastry along with chocolate lollipops were placed on the main handy desserts stand. All were good and fresh.
The next unique feature was the nitrogen ice cream stand where on request flavors were prepared using solid nitrogen , a delight both to eyes and tongue. Tried the pan flavored and coffee one, both amazing and come with choice of toppings. Regular ice cream was also available for those not interested in nitrogen ones.
The most beautiful part of deserts were the red brownies and macarons. Beautifully places and excellent in tatse, Flechazo covers a very wide range in...
Read moreFlechazo – this brand has established itself well in the “Mediterrasian” world! A concept bringing the best of Mediterranean and Asian cuisine and being good at it. Having dined in a few times at the Marathahalli outlet in Bangalore, it was time to head to the Whitefield one and experience the Santa’s Feast – a specially curated Fest for the Holiday season ! The Fest is on for a limited period only and ending on Jan 5th but if you are reading this and heading to the restaurant after the 5th, you would still get to experience most of the food that I would be mentioning as we go along but would miss out on the specials like the Turkey, Emu dishes and desserts like the pumpkin pie – you might even get lucky as they keep introducing new dishes with new fests in play and get to try more than what I did on this particular day ! Live stations for specials like Turkey,Emu in addition to the stations for Pizza, Pasta and Pita kept the feast going. Good initiative to allow folks to make their own pizza’s bringing out the inner chef as one may call it, but hey you will have to eat it if you cook , so better make a good one ! Appetizers are served on the table while one can take a walk and choose your mains from the variety of dishes available. My top picks from the appetizers include the Dancing Emu, Korean Prawns, Till Dahi ke kebab, Spicy pineapple, Grilled Fish, the Quail from the specials and the Harissa Paneer Tikka ! From the mains, my favorites includes Country Chicken Biryani, Chicken Stroganoff, Paneer Kaleji and Crab curry ! Wish I had enough appetite to try out everything but there were so many items !What’s impressive was there was no pulling back on the Desserts and there were loads of options here too as listed in the menu and there was actually more than what was listed ! If I may pick a few favorites again – Chocolate Lolypop, Tandai Tiramisu, Jamuns, Ice Kachang, Mango & Gulab Jamun Ice-cream and the Paan Ice-cream. Service is impeccable. From getting food quickly on the table to celebrating birthdays/special days with dance and cake to handing over balloons to kids meant everyone was happy and more than satisfied ! The staff assigned to our table was on top of everything,The restaurant is inside a building complex and there is valet parking...
