Gustoes is situated on the way to Jaynagar, along KR road. They have turned the place into a beautiful, cozy pub. I chose the terrace to enjoy a bit of fresh air and an open rooftop. Live match screening is done to keep customers entertained however, the only problem with the place is that during peak traffic hours, the honking can get pretty noisy unless you're around a lot of people or pick seats in the centre of the floor. I'd rate the ambience 3.5/5.

Coming down to what matters, Gustoes is a beer house. I tried a couple of their tap beers and was amazed at how smooth they were. Bira gold on tap was so tasty I couldn't get enough of it. Given that I went there by myself, I couldn't try anything other than their peanut masala and peri peri fries which were both very palatable. There was a spicy, tangy touch to the peanut masala and the fries couldn't have been done better! From what little I tried, I'll give food a 5/5.

Despite being a Saturday evening, the service was pretty quick. Beer orders found their way to my table almost within the next couple minutes of placing the order. Food was pretty quickly made too. The staff were courteous and very suggestive of the menu and alternative options for food and drink. I'll give the hard working lads a solid 5/5.

The pricing was pretty moderate too. Drinks were more or less priced similar to other pubs. The bar bites were definitely worth the price. Overall, a nice place to hang out with friends and family if you're looking for great beer and palatable food. And be sure you have a lot of people around or the honking from outside can be a vibe killer. Definitely recommend giving this place...

Visited Gustoes for a late lunch on Sunday, 17/11/2024 at around 3 PM with family. We were informed that grills were not available, which was odd since many restaurants keep their lunch grills open till at least 4 PM. We settled to eat their mixed non veg platter and their pineapple pizza and we're thoroughly disappointed with the meal. The platter's food was cold upon arrival. When we complained to the waitress, she acted quite shocked and took it away while we were still eating from it. The pizza wasn't impressive, for we found the cartilaginous pieces of chicken on it which made it dissatisfying to eat. The lemon soda wasn't as refreshing as compared to other restaurants similar to Gustoes. When the platter came back again, the waiter hastily served us as of he was worried about a bad feedback. We were once again surprised at the fact that the platter was cold yet again! The food on it tasted like it was originally meant for a grill, and gave it is the impression that they had served us the leftover grills from their lunch buffet. At the end of the meal, we were served a grand bill of 1.6k for the pathetic excuse for a meal, and a feedback form. When we wrote out a bad review, we witnessed the waiter run on our way out and fetch his manager who questioned us as if their service was impeccable. Truly a disappointing experience, and will not be visiting again.

TLDR: Cold and average food,...

I had the opportunity to visit this restaurant during the India vs New Zealand World Cup match. Surprisingly, the place was not crowded, and I was able to secure a seat without a prior reservation. The quick service and the polite staff immediately set a positive tone for the evening. For my meal, I opted for a non-vegetarian pasta, a vegetarian steak, and a fruit tart. The pasta was a delightful treat, boasting flavors that were both rich and delicious. However, the vegetarian steak left much to be desired. It was excessively oily, and the portion size was surprisingly small, even for someone with an average appetite.Moving on to dessert, I ordered the fruit tart. While the filling was flavorful, the base was disappointingly hard. Eating it required caution, as it was prone to crumbling and making a mess.Despite these minor hiccups, the overall experience was fine. The standout feature was undoubtedly the prompt and courteous service, which deserves a thumbs up. The restaurant's ability to provide a pleasant dining experience even during a significant sports event speaks volumes about their efficiency. In summary, the restaurant offers a mixed bag - delicious pasta, friendly service, but with room for improvement in terms of portion sizes and dessert quality. With a little tweaking, this place has the potential to offer an exceptional...

Visited this place on a quaint evening and was mesmerized by its setting completely! With seating capacities at 3 levels, we got seated in the terrace, themed black and white, and nestled among big, leafy, lush green gulmohar trees! The ambience, very simply put, was absolutely amazing. Once settled, we got some recommendations and straightaway way for their finger food inuding fish fingers, garlic bread, chicken tikka, and raw mango salad. The raw mango salad, served with a vinaigrette dressing and served with loads of peanuts was absolutely refreshing and super tasty! The fish fingers, served with tarter sauce, tasted amazing as well. The chicken and garlic bread were equally good. For the main we ordered some lamb pasta and I was extremely dighted with both the quality, taste, and quantity. It had huge portions of lamb and the sauce was extremely well balanced and added dimension to the penne pasta. For dessert, we got a massive slice of Tres Leches! This was most definitely the biggest slice of Tres leches I have seen or had so far! Sweet, milky, and spongy, it tasted divine. For drinks we had bloody mary and another vodka based cocktail both of which I enjoyed very well. The service us very prompt and the staff is really hospitable! The chef also came out to talk to us about the dishes. Overall, we had a great time here!!
