I've eaten here before and really enjoyed the food but it was a Sunday evening then. This time I went on a Sunday afternoon. Their portions for stew are pretty big. Mind you it's my birthday and I've gone with my mum. I ask them to parcel the stew and side dishes, the wait staff said ask the "manager" (or atleast the dude running the place) for the side dishes we don't have a container for this. Then it's been 20 minutes and nobody has come. I found the manager and asked to parcel the rest of the side dishes. He (not realizing I'm already waiting on main courses to be parceled) says "this is complimentary" we don't parcel this. I said look I know you do deliveries just parcel it all in one, I'll pay extra for the containers (understandably this may increase cost so I've offered to pay). He made a scene and loudly implied I was being cheap for asking consistently saying it was complimentary. Side dishes are LITERALLY the whole deal when it comes to Korean food. I go back asking where the parcel is and he says I already said no to you. I said we'll you can't say no to the main course I am paying for or is that complimentary too. He then realizes his mistake that the wait staff had not bothered to show him the parcel. And then proceeds to yell at him while everyone in the restaurant looks on, without apologizing to me. Finally parcels and gives it to me.

It was SUCH an unpleasant experience. The prices on swiggy are 1.5 tim3s what is at the restaurant. Again a price (200 rupees) I indicated I was...

I recently visited Hiseoul, a Korean restaurant, with my friends, and I must say, it was an amazing experience. It was our first time trying Korean cuisine, and we were not disappointed; it was definitely worth the try!

The ambience of the restaurant was delightful. The cozy and welcoming atmosphere made us feel comfortable right away. The staff was friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive vibe of the place.

One thing that pleasantly surprised us was the complimentary dishes they served. Not only were they healthy, but they were also incredibly tasty. The starters they provided were so fulfilling that they almost filled our stomachs, and they perfectly complemented the main dishes that followed.

Speaking of the main dishes, we were impressed by the portion sizes. The quantity of food we received was generous, and it matched the price we paid. It's always great to feel satisfied with the meal and not have to worry about leaving hungry or overpaying for small portions.

Overall, our experience at Hiseoul was fantastic. The simplicity and authenticity of the food, along with the warm ambience and attentive staff, made our visit memorable. If you're looking to try delicious Korean food in a cozy setting, Hiseoul is the place to be. We can't wait to go back and enjoy another...

Cozy and Comfortable Korean Dining Experience.

Visited this place recently and really appreciated the cozy, comfortable setting. The staff were genuinely polite and helpful, which added to the overall pleasant experience.

The food was flavorful and served in generous portions. I especially enjoyed the sides—they were well-prepared and complemented the mains nicely. However, I was a bit let down by the kimchi. Given that it's a staple in Korean cuisine, I had higher expectations for its flavor.

One downside during the visit was that the waiter was not available most of the time. We had to wait a while to get their attention, which affected the otherwise smooth service.

The ambiance was on the quieter side—there was no background music during my visit, which made the place feel a bit gloomy. Perhaps it was due to the lower crowd at the time, but a little soft music could definitely uplift the vibe.

Pricing-wise, it's on the higher end compared to other Korean restaurants I've been to. That said, the quality and service mostly justify the cost, with the exception of the kimchi and the occasional service gap.

Overall, it's a good spot for a relaxed meal if you're in the mood for Korean food and don’t mind a slightly...

I have always put off trying Korean food in Bangalore. No matter where the food is from, India cannot but have its say before it is embraced by the palates of its people. So for the sake of authenticity, I thought I'll wait until I visited Korea to try Korean food. Today, I gave in. I was binge-watching A Walk Around the Neighborhood, a documentary series on KBS World today. The presenter, actor Kim Youngchul, strolls around a neighbourhood, and interacts with people and things that interest him. It is a very simple concept. Viewers get to meet ordinary Koreans and learn of their lives. And of course, as food is an important part of Korean life, there is a lot of eating too. After a few episodes, I gave in and ordered gimbap from Hi Seoul through Swiggy. I was familiar with Hi Seoul because I had once stopped by to get directions to a Korean church nearby. Gimbap was one of the few vegetarian options that was available. It was nice. Served with kimchi (of course), boiled potatoes and sesame oil (of course). The oil was a perfect complement to the gimbap. I instructed the restaurant to not "Indian-ise" the dish. I'll have to wait until a trip to Korea to find out how the dish compares.
