Hotel Shanthi Sagar ಹೋಟೆಲ್ ಶಾಂತಿ ಸಾಗರ್ — Restaurant in Bengaluru

It's the only restaurant on the Kadubeesanahalli/Bhoganhalli road, near New Horizon School, and walking distance from nearby societies such as Sradhha Palmera, Prestige Sunnyside Oak / Elm etc.

The food is reasonably priced, and the flavours are good as well. However, for a predominantly south Indian restaurant, they really need to work on their Sambhar which is usually very watery and at times is also a bit on the sweet side. I've tried a variety of items from the restaurant, and would rate it as follows - North Indian Meal (5/5)- Really good value for money at Rs. 100 Masala Dosa / Cheese Dosa (4/5) - Crispy delicious dosas, but Sambhar is not that good. Fried Rice (3/5) - Average preparation, the chinese items are not so good here Gobhi Manchurian (3/5) - Lacks flavors Open Butter Masala Dosa (2/5) - I personally didn't like it, as it's not Crispy and it's topped with raw onion and tomato. It's more like an Uttapam. Chana Bhatura (4/5) - Good flavours but can't compare to what you get in the north Neer Dosa (5/5) - Really like it Aloo Paratha (5/5) - It's a tandoori paratha served with curd Manchow Soup (5/5) - Very tasty and good value for money Paneer Tikka (4/5) - A bit on the spicy side

Review Update [March 13, 2022] - There's a new guy at the tea counter who's really rude. My wife was standing at the counter with the coupon, and he kept attending others who came after here. On another occasion I saw him talk rudely to an elderly person who got a coffee instead of tea due to some miscommunication. Owner should look into this....

Worst services and very rude staff. Very expensive for the quality they serve. They do not bother about the customer to re-visit as they have a rotating IT crowd. Each and every item is very expensive. Mangalore buns is charged Rs 60per plates here, the same will cost Rs 40 per plate in Vishnu Grand. A roti being charged Rs 30+ which is very expensive for its quality. Always you have to notify the counter guy, for someone to be available to provide tea. Don't know how they are running this business with so much attitude. The incharge person who takes order in services area, doesn't have a basic etiquette to talk to customer. Servers are better than him. Sorry to hear that its a mangalorean hotel, wherein they are usually very customer's friendly. 12/20 Single roti cost 30+, what special material do we need to think that is being used. Worst parcel service in Shanthi Sagar Today I went to Shanthi sagar to get Parcel of 2 set poori, 2 vada and 1 idely. I have waited for 40min to get my parcel. After 40min my parcel is ready. So I have taken parcel to my home while reached home i noticed that instead of 2 set poori they parceled only 1 set poori. I have call and enquiry about this issue to the shanthi Sagar hotel. They told just sorry. I asked them to refund money through gpay,paytm etc., But they told they can provide only cash. To get 60rs I need to travel again 3 km from my home such a disappointment.
