If you're looking for a great place to hang out in the Yelankha area, look no further than Jook Taproom as it is one of the best pubs located in this area. We were here for having lunch and our visit to this place worthwhile.
► Menu:
The menu comprises a carefully curated selection of popular South Indian and North Indian cuisines. It also has a section devoted to Momos, Pastas, and Seafood and is classified according to the type of Dishes. They also provide tap beers from Budweiser, Budweiser Magnum, Bira Gold, White & Blonde and KF Premium and Ultra Draught.
► Atmosphere:
The place is elegant, cozy and immaculate with stunning interiors. The space is capacious, with a sufficient number of tables to accommodate a large number of guests at the same time. The entire area is divided into two sections. One section is located inside the bar counter, while the other is near the elevator. They also have a small smoking area for smokers. TVs are also mounted at various points inside the bar counter section. They also have Wi-Fi connectivity.
► Customer Service: Their Hospitality was amazing. The staffs are friendly, courteous and attentive. Special thanks to their staff Hemanth for his warm welcome and taking care of us very well. Hemant is knowledgeable about the dishes and drinks served there. He recommended the best drinks among the cocktail section to try for when we were in a dilemma to choose one. He himself prepared the cocktails for us and it was nice watching his mixology skills in the bar counter We would like to also thank their staff Aghali for keeping an eye on our table and ensuring that the dishes were delivered on time.
► Food and Beverages:
◙ Starters: Jook Special Tawa Pepper Chicken (Rs 265) - Its one of their Signature Dishes. Chicken pieces served were crispy and freshly prepared. One plate had about 5-6 boneless tendered chicken chunks. A small bowl of pudina chutney was served as an accompaniment.
Sriracha Tossed Momos Chicken ( Rs 225) - The basket contained six steamed momos that complemented the Schezwan sauce to perfection. As an accompaniment to the MoMos, a small bowl of tomato chutney was served.
From the main course section we had their
Pasta Arabiatta Chicken (Penne) (Rs 325) - The pasta was good in taste and had the ample quantity to fill one tummy. The pastas were nicely blended with red sauce and was delectable.
Plain Naan + Kottayam Prawn Moilee (Rs 55 + Rs 345) - Plain Naan was good as usual. Their Kottayam Prawn Moilee was well prepared. The taste was delectable and it is a perfect pair to have them with Appams (Hoppers) or Idiyappam ( String Hoppers). The bowl contained nearly 7-8 pieces of Prawns and the gravy was quite good in taste.
◙ Desserts:
We sampled their Cold Coffee Mousse Cake (Rs 195) from the desserts section. It is the most popular item in their desserts section. The luscious mousse cake contained layers of chocolate, coffee, and caramel. Strawberry gratings were liberally sprinkled over the cake's surface. We would personally recommend you all to try this dish from the dessert section
In the beverages section We had
◙ Cocktails:
D K Bose (Rs 330) - One of their best selling cocktails. It is prepared using a combination of Blenders Pride Whiskey along with Passion Fruit and Pineapple juice.
Mr Jook (Rs 330) - A cocktail prepared using Blenders Pride, peach and cucumber. The taste was okay and it has a slight bitter taste due to the inclusion of cucumber.
Mr Jook and DC Bose are the main whiskey based cocktails available here.
In the mocktails section, we had their Virgin Pina Colada (Rs 250). It is prepared using an amalgamation of cream of coconut and pine apple juice

Read moreVisited many times! But this time really not satisfied! Staffs are not up to the mark! They should have atleast some patience if someone is asking something! Initially when i entered and sat infront of the bar desk, upto 15mnts i was simply starring all the bartender hoping if someone will come and take my order. I saw they were busy to serving others! But all are least bother to come to me and take the order!! finally found the reason that I was alone and they all are busy to take or serve people who came in group! I did not know whether its a part of your SOP to not to priorities a single person rather than a group! Anyway, finally i got someone from the bar desk itself who served me a drink!! Instead of repeatedly calling him to refill it, the guy was least bother to receive my order again and was busy on chitchatting! Adding further, the music was so louder in the pub, even a person standing near me ( hardly 1 feet) will hardly able to listen the other persons voice! Finally out of my anger, I called a bartender and ask him to reduce the volume! And he went and ask the person ( who is sitting into that music desk) to reduce the volume! It was so irritating that i can explain! And most interestingly, when i finished my billing, and came to ask that guy who is in music desk that why he played music in so louder, he replied that after 11PM he is allowed to play music in louder whereas it was 10.10PM that time!! You can check my invoice timings for confirmation! Finally I noded and ask him to show where that written anywhere inside the pub! The way of replying back was so arrogant that hearts me a lot as a regular client of Jook! Anyway, decided not to go back again if you have similar...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting Jook Taprom at Yelanka with friends and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The pub's ambience is exceptional, offering the perfect blend of vibrancy and coziness, making it an ideal spot to unwind with friends. The staff were incredibly supportive, attentive, and welcoming.
Our culinary journey was a mixed bag. Standout dishes included the delectable Veg Butter Creamy Garlic Prawns (5/5), Coriander Crust Paneer (5/5), and Crispy Chilli Corn (5/5). The BBQ Chicken Brochettes (3/5), Special Murgh Tikka (4/5), and Peri Peri Chicken Wings (3/5) were decent but lacked the same wow factor. Our friends raved about the Magnum Tap Beer (5/5).
Among the mocktails, the Watermelon Basil Cooler (5/5) was a must-try, while the Crazy Mango (3/5) and Fruit Temptation (3/5) were somewhat sweet. Veg Nachos (4/5) were satisfying.
The DJ's selection was impressive, creating an infectious vibe that kept us engaged. However, there were some drawbacks. Portion sizes were insufficient considering the prices, and our server forgot one of our orders, leading to a disappointing 45-minute wait.
On the bright side, Jook Taprom offers both AC and non-AC dining areas, a smoking zone, and is kid-friendly. Valet parking is also available. Overall, Jook Taprom is a fantastic spot to hang out with friends or family, with some areas for improvement.
Recommendations: Watermelon Basil Cooler, Veg Butter Creamy Garlic Prawns, Coriander Crust Paneer
Tips: Be mindful of portion sizes and prices; remind staff about orders to...
