Lakshmi Natraj Refreshments is a popular spot that consistently delivers delicious South Indian snacks. Having visited multiple times, it’s clear that their menu, particularly the idli, vada, and dosas, is a favorite among regulars.

Lakshmi Natraj Refreshments also excels in cleanliness and hygiene, which adds to the overall positive dining experience. The place is well-maintained, with a neat and tidy environment that ensures a comfortable and safe dining experience.

Idli: The idlis here are incredibly soft and fluffy. When you place one in your mouth, it almost dissolves, a sign of perfect steaming and the right proportion of rice and dal. This texture is often a rare find, and it shows the care that goes into preparation.

Uddina Vada: The uddina vada is crispy on the outside and soft inside, just the way it should be. It's a satisfying crunch followed by the softness of the lentils that adds to the overall appeal. The spongy interior gives it a comforting, fresh taste, making it an essential side with your dosa or idli.

Pudi Masala Dosa: This is where Lakshmi Natraj really shines. The "pudi" (spiced powder) in the masala dosa is flavorful and gives the dish a unique, aromatic spice. The dosa itself is crisp and thin, perfectly complemented by the generous sprinkle of spiced powder, which adds a deep, smoky flavor that makes it stand out from your regular masala dosa.

Paper Pudi Masala Dosa: For dosa lovers, the paper dosa option is a real treat. It's extra thin and crispy, offering an even crunchier texture. Paired with the spicy pudi, it becomes a flavorful, satisfying bite with every mouthful. It's a must-try if you're a fan of extra-crispy dosas.

Chutney & Sambhar: The two types of chutney served here—usually coconut and a tangy tomato or coriander—are an ideal pairing with the dosas and idlis. Both chutneys are fresh, with the coconut chutney having a nice balance of creaminess and flavor, while the tomato chutney brings a zing that cuts through the richness of the dosa fillings.

The sambhar, often served alongside, is spicy, slightly tangy, and filled with vegetables. It’s a perfect balance of heat and flavor. Some might find the sambhar a little on the spicier side, but for spice lovers, it’s a great addition to every dish.

Overall Experience: Taste: 10/10. The flavors are well-balanced, and each dish is made with care. The spice levels are perfect for those who like a bit of heat. Texture: 10/10. The idlis are exceptionally soft, the dosas are crisp, and the vadas have the right amount of crunch. Service: 8/10. Usually quick, but it can get busy during peak hours, so expect a wait. Ambience: 8/10. The setting is typically basic but comfortable, and you’re here for the food, which is the star. Hygiene & Cleanliness: 10/10 – The restaurant is well-kept and maintained, giving customers peace of mind. Food Quality: 10/10 – The idlis are perfectly cooked, and the dosas and vadas...

Came here for breakfast. Loved it so much that I returned for lunch.

We were a group of people. So we could try a few different things. The legendary pudi masala dosa did not disappoint. It was great! Idlies were soft and were complemented greatly by the freshly made chutneys. It was also good to see that they use cotton cloth on the idli form instead of plastic like many people do these days. The only downside was that the food is served on paper plates with plastic coating. However, upon request, the staff placed banana leaf over the plate before serving the food. Filter coffee at the end of the meal was satisfying and tied it up nicely.

For lunch, few of us tried tiffin items and the rest opted for the banana leaf meal. Onion dosa was just fine. The Idlies were still great. The chutneys were different this time age were really tasty as well. And we ordered a plate of Shavige bhath which was amazing! It's a must try. The banana leaf meal was also highly appreciated. All the items on the menu were fresh and tasty. The quantity was more than sufficient. It was a really good meal.

Overall, the restaurant is really clean, hygienic, away from the dust and grime of the area its situated in and serves fresh, tasty food for an affordable price. Highly...

Set in the bylane of the bustling chaotic and jam packed Nagrathpet main road.Lakshmi Nataraj Refreshments is a place to visit for some tasty South Indian food. Keep iin mind that if you are in a hurry you will miss it if you are too slow someone from behind might push you away and you might miss the small bylanes leading towards the place. One of the primary reason that i like the is place it ranks high in cleanliness. It is spacious and veruy clean. As for the food they serve the usual dosa idli puri and various rice items. The dosas are very popular here especially the pudi dosa varieties. The taste is bang on...with generous amount of ghee.Be prepared to shell out a few extra bucks compared to the never ending food joints that are scattered on the streets of Nagrathpet and surrounding bylanes. They do serve South Indian thali for Rs170 too which is served on the first floor.Never tried it though. Even the tea is prepared fresh and not prepared before hand like most hotels they do add ginger to it. You can also buy their Pudi powder and Gun powder that is a favourite among the people here. All in all a good place for some quality dosas and South...

I recently visited Lakshmi Nataraj Refreshments, and it was an absolute delight! The moment I stepped in, the inviting aroma of freshly prepared South Indian delicacies set the tone for a memorable meal. I tried their Bisi Bele Bath and Masala Dosa, and both dishes were extraordinary. The Bisi Bele Bath was perfectly spiced, with the right balance of tanginess and richness, and the fresh vegetables made it even more comforting. It was served hot and garnished with a generous dollop of ghee, elevating the flavor to perfection. The Masala Dosa was crispy, golden, and filled with a deliciously spiced potato masala. Paired with their freshly prepared coconut chutney and sambar, it was a complete treat for the taste buds. The service was quick and efficient, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The ambiance is simple and clean, making it a great spot for families and food enthusiasts looking for authentic South Indian flavors. Lakshmi Nataraj Refreshments is a must-visit for anyone craving delicious, homely South Indian food. I’ll definitely return to explore more dishes from their menu. Highly recommended!

Situated in a small bylane, this can be easily missed. Parking is on the main road and can get tough during peak hours. Forget taking your 4W here. Accessible to wheelchair, but the approach is a bit rough. We were there first at 0800hrs and had to wait for another 20 odd minutes until they took the order. The place is neatly maintained and has ample space to sit and enjoy your food. We started off with the Podi masala dose. It was served with two types of chutney, mint and tomato. The mint chutney went well with the dose, tomato being a bit more tangy than my liking. Dose was good and crispy. But somehow did not exite us. It just did not wow us in any manner and so gets 3 stars. And so we decided not to explore more here. We washed down with Kaapi which again was normal fare. I will think twice before I make up my mind to visit this place next time as there are better eateries around this place.
