Mainland China is one of the most sought after Chinese brands and for all the right reasons. To begin with the Ambience is dim lit and flanked with chairs, . The Ambience has a slight touch of China with all those Chinese themed abstract paintings.

The place easily gets packed Evan on a weekday, since my visit was on a weekday . We tried the following items and would suggest you to do as well

1. mocktails: they have a huge variety of them , and to be honest I love their fresh mint storm, and the watermelon and cilantro crush mocktails. Very well done and mostly refreshing.indeed a perfect partner with Chinese food

2. soup: tried the lung Fung chicken soup, comforting and I found it slightly bland for my pallete, so added a dash of pepper and it tasted fab.

3. dimsums: that's the thing I ate the most out here would clearly and highly recommend the Philadelphia cheese and endamane dimsums, they are cheesy and Soo good. A must try! Also thier chicken and mushroom pan fried gyozas never disappoints, the prawn hargao is an another crowd favorite!

4. main cource I tried the corn fried rice with drunken chicken gravy , it was spicy and went perfectly with the rice. But this was something my friends ate. I just had a bite and wasn't disappointed

Jumping right on to the desserts , I was surprised that a Chinese place serves such amazing desserts .

1. chocolate dome with chocolate sauce : it's gets a little dramatic here ,since they pour the sauce and you can watch the dome melt ,the plate is loaded with ice cream, chocolate popcorn, brownies and yuminess!!

2. coconut caramel custard: since I'm a true caramel lover, I truely enjoyed this dessert

3. mango pudding# served bite sized, another classic!!!

Went to this place on Friday evening when i was in a mood to have some Chinese after coming back from office. Basically this restaurant is famous for Chinese and Japanese cuisine.

First impression when you enter this place is really nice , its a very calm place with soft music and very nice ambiance with nice decor. A very good place to come with your family. Coming to the food, first we had

starters: Basil flavored vegetable dumpling: they were really nice in taste, basically vegetable stuffed momos. 2.Truffle flavored Zucchini roll: these were OK in taste. Crispy lotus stem with curry leaves and black pepper: This is a must try dish if you visit this place, crispy lotus stem with a very nice taste. Dynamite cottage cheese: The presentation of this dish was very nice just like a dynamite, but the taste was OK not that good. Main Course: stir fried seasonal vegetables in smoked chili sauce: this was really nice in taste with baby corn, capsicum , beans etc. Japanese wheat noodles: They were really nice in taste. Vegetable and Edamame Fried Rice: these were really nice fried rice with veggies . Desert: Mango pudding : this was just amazing with good flavor of mango and just melt in the mouth. Chocolate dome with warm chocolate sauce: very nice presentation and awesome in taste , a must have if you are visiting. Consists of brownie, vanilla ice cream and caramelized popcorn.

For drinks I tried : Mint storm which was nice in taste and Orange piroksha which also had an amazing taste with a blend of orange.

Mainland China – Located at 9th Main, Near BSNL Office, 5th Block, Jayanagar, Bangalore, Last Friday after coming from office on the way to room near metro station I saw this place, thought try this as a weekend start. This place for authentic Chinese cuisines in Jayanagar. Ambience: Ambience was very pretty decent, calm with the relaxing sitting arrangement. This place eye catching with its lightning and ambience. A very nice place for family dining. A place they served alcohol as well, a plenty options for drink as well. There is very soft music and calm environment.

Food: Basil Flavoured Vegetable Dumpling – Steamed veg dumpling with well stuffed veggies inside Truffle Flavoured Zucchini Roll –Not that much great Crispy Lotus Stem with Curry Leaves and Black Pepper – Crispy and Crunchy lotus stem with black pepper which was super tooo in taste. Vegetables in Smoked Chilli Sauce – Seasonal veg gravy served in chilli sauce. Veg and Edamame Fried Rice – Veg fried rice in less oil and well cook

Desserts: Mango Pudding – well dressed mango pudding which was delicious and. Chocolate Dome with Warm Chocolate Sauce – A chocolate dome with brownie served with hot chocolate and it was great in taste.
