Visited on a Sunday afternoon. It wasn't crowded and we got good seating to accomodate 6 of us. We ordered the following: Masala Papad, Peanut Masala and Schezwan Sweet Corn and Lemon Coriander Veg soup. It took some time for these to be served which was a bit let down since these are easiest to be made and had to wait for about 25 mins to be served. We also ordered their signature dish Chicken Ghee Roast and Prawns Ghee Roast which was very good in taste and cooked to perfection. We ordered the following in addition: Murgh Sufiana Tikka, served with onions and mint chutney; Kundapur chicken with Neer Dosa and Chicken Dum Biriyani. The neer dosa wasn't that fresh we felt but not bad. For desserts, ordered the famous Gudbud and Casata. To quench our thirst, we ordered Strawberry Virgin Mojito, Mango Berry and April Lady. These were very good as well and must try. The staff were very friendly and good ambience as well. Restrooms are clean too. Overall we liked the place alot and would certainly visit again to try other dishes. Quantity is worthy for the price.
Second visit: Visited here again for lunch. They had renovated the place since our last visit. During this visit, we opted to take the open seating one which was one floor above the AC restaurant. The ambience and environment was good and the climate made it very enjoyable. Coming to food, we tried the following: Tom Kha Veg Soup which is coconut based, Chicken Manchow Soup, Murgh Kesari Shorba, Roasted Masala Papad, Murgh Banjara Kebab, Crispy Chicken with spinach which was crispy Spinach topped on the chicken, Egg Bhurji, Kori Roti Chicken, Kundapura Chicken with Majjige Dosa, Chicken Sukka, Neer Dosa, and Jackfruit icecream. The service was good compared to last time. The taste was also really good and we really liked the taste. The quantity was good as well for the price. Staff was...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Shetty's fish restaurant, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience. The restaurant specializes in fish dishes, and the staff, Shiva Kumar and Alok, ensured that I had an unforgettable meal.
What impressed me the most was their unique approach to cooking fish. Instead of deep frying, they tawa fry the fish, resulting in dishes that are not only incredibly flavorful but also lower in calories. I tried the Pomfret and Rawa fry, and both were absolutely delicious. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the fish was cooked to perfection.
In addition to their excellent fish dishes, I also had the opportunity to try their Mangaluru style chicken biryani, which was fragrant and packed with aromatic spices. It was a delightful combination of tender chicken and flavorful rice.
To end the meal on a sweet note, I indulged in their desserts. The coconut sweet was a delightful treat, and the gudbud ice cream was a perfect blend of flavors. It was the ideal way to conclude a fantastic dining experience.
Not only was the food at Shetty's fish restaurant exceptional, but the staff also went above and beyond to ensure that my needs were met. When I faced network issues and needed to send some urgent documents, Alok kindly granted me access to their wifi, allowing me to complete my task in a timely manner. Their attentiveness and hospitality truly made me feel valued as a customer.
Overall, I cannot recommend Shetty's fish restaurant enough. The combination of delectable tawa-fried fish, mouthwatering chicken biryani, and delightful desserts, coupled with the exceptional service provided by Shiva Kumar and Alok, made for an extraordinary dining experience. I'm already looking forward to returning...
Read moreVisited Shetty Lunch Home this afternoon with my childhood friends hearing so much hype about its popularity and viral status. We were looking forward to a relaxed afternoon and a memorable lunch but unfortunately, the experience was far from what we expected.
From the moment we sat down, we felt uncomfortable due to the staff's constant interruptions. One of the managers or staff members kept coming to our table every couple of minutes, repeatedly asking how the food was and if we needed anything else. While attentive service is usually appreciated, this level of interruption felt excessive and made it difficult for us to relax or have private conversations. It honestly felt intrusive and made us hesitant to discuss anything personal, which ruined the chill vibe we were hoping for.
As for the food, we first ordered the Chicken Ghee Roast and Dosa. The Chicken Ghee Roast, which we had high expectations for, was disappointingâit tasted dry, lacked freshness, and didnât live up to its reputation at all. Hoping for a better experience, we switched to North Indian dishes and sadly North Indian food was equally underwhelming. The flavors just werenât balanced, and nothing tasted freshly made or authentic. All four of us were left unsatisfied and disappointed.
Overall, this was one of the most underwhelming, irritating dining experiences I've had. The combination of poor food quality and the inability to enjoy our time together was extremely disappointing. With all the hype surrounding this restaurant, our experience did not meet expectations in any way. I donât usually write negative reviews, but I felt compelled to share our honest feedback in hopes that the management will address these issues for...
