Again not my first time to Mainland China, not my first to this outlet in Whitefield. From the time this outlet opened, I have visited them on several occasions, Mainland China across Chennai & Bangalore has been the go to location for celebrating birthdays & anniversaries.
Recently visited to try out their special Chinese New Year menu, and being a vegetarian that day, I tried out a whole lot of delicious vegetarian starters & mains. The Chinese New Year Specials are available only for a few more days, so hurry & block your tables to try out these delicious goodies.
We started off with a vegetarian Lung Fu Soup, that was extreme well made with a tad bit of smokiness, and loads of veggies & tofu.
The Pan Fried Japanese mushroom dumpling was very delicious with beautiful flavours of Shiitake coming through in every bite.
The surprising dish was the Philadelphia Cheese Dumpling, which stole the show. These steamed dumplings had nothing but melted cheese & exploded in our mouth with a bite with balanced cheesy goodness, it was absolutely delightful and was the dish of the day.
The stir fried water chestnuts were nice and crunchy and beautifully seasoned. The stir fried Haricot Beans in chilli and sesame, could have used a bit more seasoning, but was well made with crunchy beans retaining its original taste & flavour.
The matchstick potato with truffle oil was very flavoursome, one of my favourites for the evening, but the seasoning was a little uneven, nevertheless the truffle flavours were strong enough to hit the right notes.
The cracking spinach was one cracker of a dish that was made superbly, one of the best I had in Bangalore, surprisingly this is the first time I tried it here in mainland China, inspite of several visits earlier.
For mains, we had the Fortune clay pot rice with celery and Chinese cabbage fried rice, absolutely delicious combo that had beautiful flavours combing to recreate magic in your palate, I loved it. The Singapore style noodles with scallions was good too, enjoyed the whole main course.
What followed was a perfect end to the meal that was fabulous, the delicious mango pudding & a decadent hot chocolate dome with vanilla Icecream, on a bed of smoke. Both were fantastic desserts that we could not get enough of.
Mainland China never fails to disappoint you and the special Chinese new menu takes it a notch higher. It’s a must try, do try out the new exclusive dishes on the menu and share your experience in...

Few observations In our weekend visit during lunch, this place was hugely crowded and I felt like staffs were less in number and which caused little extra time to serve the food. But in terms of food taste, no complain.
If you have coupon through Zomato or Swiggy, it would be little economical comperatively.
Security during entrance in premise may tell you lot of waiting and all. Please don't listen to them and go to restruant directly in first floor and talk to...
