Ohoho amazing burst of authentic naaati style traditional flavours . Every grain of jeera samba rice in biryani had flavour & each every bite had story behind it. Deliciously served pleasurable food infused with correct ingredients & with love & care & affection 😍 This humble restaurant blew me away! Bangalore has a lot of good restaurants but very very few wow restaurants, Maratha Darshan is one of the WOW restaurant. If u r a true nati style food lover , U must visit hotel for atleast weekly once. This is a VVIP place for so many politicians & so many celebrities, Very oftenly most of the celebrities visit casually for lunch 🥗, Just imagine the craze & fan following for the naaaati taste 👅 Though Taste may tempt u to go everyday 😋 I have been visiting this restaurant for over 25 years & their taste and quality hasn't changed one bit. It’s Run by a family for years with the second generation taking over, this marathi style restaurant serves simple yet delicious meals at reasonable prices. Food here is so good & generally so heartily wholesome that it leaves you ecstatic. Nothing gimmicky just amazing food. They have veg, chicken & mutton meals, with a few non-veg starters/sides all are amazing (no exaggeration). The spices used are mild & the meat is cooked to perfection. The mutton dishes are delicious The spices used are pure home-made and hence better for health compared to packed spices. The menu is limited & the service is quick. We ordered two plates of meals apart from chicken chilli, chicken 65 and chicken fry. We also ordered mutton fry. Then we Had their mutton meal with chilly chicken and fish fry. Mutton was superb , their indian take on chilly chicken was amazing and the Konkani style fish fry slice was quite good. Rasam was absolutely mind blowing. On the other visit we had kheema unde, chilly chicken & mutton liver & mutton fry biryani 😍 On the other day for lunch with foodies wr ordered Signature dishes, mutton chops, liver pepper , Chilly chicken & Ragi Mudde was awesome. Excellent Chicken Biryani, Liver Masala, Mutton Chops, Keema Balls , The chicken 65 was also really good. the chicken curries, mutton fry, liver fry were also amazing. And butter milk at the end gives it a perfect closing On weekdays they serve meals which is good in its own way😋 Well maintained one. Maharashtra tradition has been followed. Really liked all the items. Spicy, salty everything which I wanted was there. Oh what a taste , Purely Desi style non veg dishes , You must try every dish here don't have at first visit , Mouth watering mutton dishes especially liver fry , If u r a veg lover pls do have the kushka rice it’s mind blowing 🤩... Simply the best quality of home made food and taste, I have been patronizing this homely restaurant for over 25 years, their quality and taste has been the same and awesome. “WAY TO GO MARATHA DARSHAN" Kheema unde Chilly chicken Liver fry Mutton korma Chicken biryani is a desperate must 😍 I am a permanent fan of this place. Read moreI visited Maratha Darshan restaurant today, an old and highly-rated spot in Bangalore, with high expectations. While the mutton curry I tried was tasty and homely, the experience didn’t live up to the price and ambiance.
The biggest issue was the pricing — for the same amount, I could have had an unlimited buffet in Bengaluru. I paid INR 350 for a single mutton thali, which felt overpriced considering the basic setup. The chapati served with the meal was hard and not fresh. For the price, I expected it to be hot and freshly made, but it was disappointing in that regard.
Another point of concern was the gradual price hike of up to 33% over the last year, as seen in the Google reviews. I understand that good food comes at a price, but the value for money here seems lacking, especially when other places offer more variety for the same or lower cost.
Although the prices have increased over time, the quantity should not have been reduced, yet that has happened. In a review of this restaurant on Food Lovers TV posted in youtube five years ago, the portion of gravy given was noticeably larger. Now, it has been reduced to about one-third of the original amount.
If you’re only looking for non-veg dishes and don’t mind spending a bit more, this place might work for you. But personally, I believe the pricing doesn't match the overall experience, and I wouldn't support this kind of pricing. The food was good, but it wasn't enough to...
Read moreGot a chance to visit Marata Darshan. The name itself says Marata, the dishes are expected to be in Marathi style.
They have service section in the 1st floor. Self service area in ground floor with kitchen. Parking at your own risk.
They have great menu. We ordered: Idli, Mutton biryani, chilli chicken, Chicken fry & chicken lollipop (take away). They also serve, chicken biryani, liver fry, mutton chops.
For noon they have Ragi mudde meals and Chapathi meals as well.
I didn’t click pic of idli. However, the texture was so soft, it was soaking in gravy. Every bite of idli is mouth watering. Kindly be early to savour hot idli.
Mutton biryani taste was good. Clove and cinnamon flavour was dominating, but still the mint balanced the taste. Again it was served hot. Meat was thoroughly cooked and it was soft. Three pieces of mutton meat was in biryani portion.
Chilli chicken taste was great, but felt like Chinese dish rather usual chilli chicken. I became fan of Chicken fry from Marata Darshan. Dish was slightly gravy. Masala of this fry was lip smacking. Chicken was cooked to its consistent and it was juicy.
Price won’t put a hole to your pocket. Altogether a great eatery for natti style non veg in and around Vasanth Nagar.
Note: Due to covid, if you feel safe visit the hotel. Wear Mask and carry...
