MATINEE BAR AND KITCHEN — Restaurant in Bengaluru

A matinee show is available in the long stretch busy marathalli road. The matinee by the by is the restaurant at marathalli which has a nice cinema theme,posters put up on the walls and small reels and replica cameras hung up. I had been to this restaurant on a Sunday weekend for lunch along with my friends and thoroughly enjoyed it. 🌶️🥦🥐🧀🍖🍗🥩🥓🍝🍣🍢🍚🍳🥗🍤🍡🍧🍨🍦🥡🍰🥧☕🍾🍷🍸🍹🍺🍻🥂🥃🥢

🇦 The ambience of the restaurant is too good. I loved their small outdoor facility where snooker table and fooze Ball can be played. It is bright and a place where you can enjoy your drink while playing a game of snooker. The ambience of the restaurant where you can dine too seems to be good they have posters of matinee idols every where.

🇸The service at the restaurant is mean. I had to wait for a long time for my cocktails, however the food was served pretty quickly.

🇫🍽️ What I ate??? 🍴Tempura Prawn➡️The prawns were pretty big in size. The tempura Prawn could have been much better,too much of flour may have indered it.

🍴Basil flavoured chicken dimsun➡️ The chicken dimsuns looked premium and straight out of high end restaurant. The fillings with chicken tasted good.

🍴Corn spinach dimsuns➡️ Yet another dimsun which had the corn as the fillings, tasted good.

🍴The grill had the conventional veg and non veg starters in them. I loved their paneer grill and most of the chicken grill. The sea food grills were really good. I would suggest the management to come up with some extra dips so that it can go well with the grills.

🍴Hunan chicken➡️I liked the Hunan chicken, it was saucy and Juicy. They were simple yet tasted good.

🍴Pasta➡️ I went with the white sauce penne pasta. They tasted pretty good.

🍴Mango cheese cake➡️ The presentation of the mango cheese cake was pretty good. They not only looked good put also tasted excellent.

🍴Tiramisu➡️Tiramisu was pretty good, loved the powder which was spread on the cake.

🍴Daiquiri➡️ It was a mixture of light rum, lime and syrup. The presentation and the taste were good. It was served on a long handle glass.

All in all matinee is a wonderful restaurant which have reasonable prices both in their food and drinks. Their cocktails cost you for less than 200. Their buffet pricing is also very reasonable. The ambience is quite refreshing and different. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at matinee. I will always remember this place since I finally learnt to eat the Chinese cuisine with their conventional sticks.

Matinee or in Old School meant a afternoon show of a movie. This place was no less than a Matinee show.

Located on the ever busy Marathahalli main road just before Jalsa Restaurant,this place serves some of the best cocktails and tasty food.

Spread on the ground floor with a capacity of around 80-90 pax, this place boasts of a good ambience and nice interiors.

Has a full fledged bar with a amazing bartender. Here the Bartender is a asset and whips up some of the best cocktails in Style and taste.

This restaurant has also a incredible chef who takes pride in serving some good lip smacking food to its patrons.

The Starters tried were-

1.Thai Corn Bhel- one of the good starter to munch on with your cocktails 2.Tempura Prawns- easily the top 3 have tried till date and would love to thank the chef in person for whoop a dish just so right. A absolute joy 3.Tawa Chicken - a other Innovative dish prepared by the chef and trust me,it just tantalises your taste buds right

1.Saffroni Fish- absolute joy to have 2.Grilled Lebanese Chicken - perfect 3.Chicken Wings- just right

The Main Course

1.Butter Naan- ok 2.Murgh Masala -supplemented well with the Naan,perfect combination of spices and tender chicken 3.Chicken Fried Rice-good 4.Curd Rice- a dish that can never go wrong

The Desserts

1.Icecream 2.Brownie

The Desserts were good in their own league

A meal for 2 would cost around Rs 1500-1800/- along with a couple cocktails

Service is amazingly fast for the crowds they handle. The servers are energetic,motivated and are ready to go the extra mile in keeping the patrons happy.

If you are a filmy keeda and want to be treated like a star-head out to new place in Marathahalli called Matinee.

Ambience is very sporty and filmy. It has pictures of the movies and film stars. It also has a pool table and Foosball table. The place can accommodate about 100 people.

They also have full fledged bar with amazing offers on drinks and also have buffet options with varieties of spread. Perfect place for corporate events too.

Cocktails were amazing,tried few of them. Kudos to the bartender in particular.

Starters tried were-

• Thai Corn Bhel- perfect one to start the course complimented well with cocktails • Tawa Chicken - loved the taste -a must try

• Saffroni Fish- Loved the fish which was perfectly marinated and tasted great too • Grilled Lebanese Chicken - Good • Chicken Wings- Glad we tried it
