Onesta has been making waves, more recently with their name of the week, free dine-in pizza offer. My foodie friend Rajendran J was qualified and had a few good things shared about the food.
Pulled up my phone & bookmarked them swiftly, however only yesterday I got to try them & what they had to offer.
This was for a light order-at-home lunch before we hosted a potluck dinner party. The menu was interesting, with their signature 6" pizza's dominating throughout, was hoping to order a pasta for my kiddo, could not find any. What I did find was a 4 cheese margarita with basil pizza, her favourite.
Since they are 6" size I decided to order 2 more, the Romenesca Vegetable Pizza & a Paneer & Spinach Pizza.
Since Onesta claims to be an Italian place & not just a pizza joint, I had to order their Bruschetta. My way of judging an Italian place is how well they perform on the simple to make, but hard hitting flavours of the Bruschetta.
After a quick 40 minute wait, as promised, the food was delivered.
Initial thoughts, excellent packing, could still be improved, delivery in a faster timeline could help, since the pizza was just warm, could have been a little more warmer with the right packaging & swift delivery.
All the above glitches or concerns disappeared after the first bite, Onesta Virginia definitely gets a big thumbs up for bringing the real Italian street style pizza to Bangalore. Simple ingredients, a great base & fresh ingredients makes then a killer combination.
And off course they get full points in the Bruschetta, now I may try their Ravioli & Lasagne.
I could not pick a winner between the 3 pizza's we had. The family's favourite was the Romenesca Vegetable & 4 cheese margarita, whereas I found the Panner & Spinach pizza an equal winner.
But for a family of 3, the three pizzas were a little too heavy, next time I will order cautiously.
A wonderful pizza spot, a breath of fresh air among the regular pizza chains. Would definitely love to try their non-veg pizzas & other...
Read moreHad visited this a year back and had immediately got a repulsive feeling seeing the food ordered. The decor is the only good thing here. Visited this place again, yesterday after hearing from people that it's good. Was hoping, they would have reformed themselves. But was disappointed again. Basically, if you are not ordering their unlimited pizza's option, then you are burning your money. Earlier they had the option of thick or thin crust pizza. If you failed to mention ,they would give you a thin crust one. Now, they have removed that, only thin crust option is there , which they call onesta special. The pizza's are small, but then again it's ok as you know you are paying for a 6 inch pizza but seeing them without any toppings was utterly disappointing. We ordered 5 different pizza's, hardly any had enough toppings, let alone chicken pieces. Chicken barbecue pizza had 2 chicken pieces. We were hungry so continued ordering starters. Oh lord, this was a mistake. Jaleponos nachos with mayo and pineapple salsa was actually a bowl of half packet cornitos- With no mayo, no jaleponos. When confronted, the waiters were clueless, I guess no one had questioned them before. He was saying that they have replaced jaleponos with green chillies. (Sigh)! Seriously dude!! When asked for mayo, he brought mayo in a bowl separately. We were like, wow ! Later, he removed this from our bill though. Paneer barbecue was plain paneer. Fish fingers had so much salt, It was also tasting bad but was best among all others. We left the place. Utterly ruined our evening. Vowing to never return again. I guess you learn it the hard way. This place is just a publicity stunt, good for kids and college goers who can chill out for 500 rupees easily. I am old school and like the things old ways, the way...

This place is pretty busy on weekends so we tried on weekdays which turned out to be one of my best experiences.
My experience with Onesta was very good. I would recommend to take one of the available buffet options as having a-la-carte would not justfy the visit. Firstly we received complimentary snacks soon as we arrived. For starters we ordered jalapeno cheese balls and bruschetta. Really liked the cheese balls. We ordered a bunch of pizzas and tried thin crust ones. Pizza was very fresh and had rich taste of veggies. Didn't like the spinach-corn-cheese pizza though. Spinach and panner Lasagna here was highlight of my visit. This is literally the best lasagna I've ever tasted. It was so soft and cheesy I almost blamed my stomach for its limited size😅. I'm not really a fan of mushroom so I couldn't enjoy the taste of mushroom and ricotta ravioli but my friend liked it. Coming to beverages hot chocolate was good and cappuccino was ok. Lime soda (sweet & salted) and orange mint cooler were very good. In desserts we almost tried all the tarts which tasted really good. My favourite was seasonal fresh fruit tart and chilly chocolate tart. In mousse we tried berry blast cheese mousse which was literally a blast of berry flavour. In cakes we tried banana, baked cherry cheese cake; double chocolate cake which tasted good. My personal picks would definitely be tarts among all deserts. This place is a must try if you want to have their awesome lasagna. Reviewing this place is incomplete if we do not mention the warm nature of the staff. They were very responsive and asked for our specific preferences.
All in all this is a very good place to...
