We visited Pakkashala Restaurant in RR Nagar for lunch over the weekend with a group, and overall, it was a good experience. The restaurant is located on the 1st floor, and both stairs and a lift are available, making it accessible for families with kids or elderly members.
🔸 Ambience & Seating
The place has a clean, family-friendly atmosphere with seating arrangements that are comfortable for both small and large groups. The environment is calm and suitable for casual meals or get-togethers. On weekends, especially during peak lunch hours, there might be a short waiting time, particularly for larger groups.
🔸 Food & Taste
They serve a mix of North Indian and Chinese vegetarian dishes. We ordered a variety of items and were happy with the taste and quality.
Starters:
Masala Papad – Crisp and simple.
Manchow Soup – Served hot and spicy, very flavorful.
Paneer Tikka – Well-marinated, grilled perfectly, and soft.
Crispy Corn – Crunchy with a slightly spicy twist, very enjoyable.
Main Course:
Butter Roti – Soft and served fresh.
Mushroom Masala – Rich and flavorful gravy, a good alternative to the usual paneer dishes.
Drinks:
Fruit Punch – Sweet and refreshing.
Lime Soda – Perfectly balanced between salty and tangy, ideal after a heavy meal.
🔸 Service & Pricing
The service was quick and efficient, and the staff were courteous and attentive. Despite being a bit crowded, we didn’t have to wait long for the food. Prices are reasonable and well worth it for the portion size and taste. ✅ Pros:
Variety of vegetarian options
Quick and friendly service
Family and group-friendly seating
Lift available for easy access
Budget-friendly pricing
⚠️ Things to Note:
No dedicated parking – You’ll have to park on the roadside, which may be slightly inconvenient during busy hours. Can get crowded during weekend peak times Located on the 1st floor (lift available) Final Thoughts: Pakkashala RR Nagar is a great choice if you're looking for a pure veg restaurant that serves a good mix of cuisines with fast service and fair pricing. It’s ideal for families and groups, as long as you're okay with roadside parking.
Would definitely recommend visiting for a casual lunch or...
Read moreWe had one of the worst experience going to Pakashala RR Nagar. We ordered chole with less oil due to health condition, but they made it with full of butter and cream. We simply requested them why they added cream and butter we already told them no oil or less oil and asked is it possible to change. Then service guy Yuvraj whom we didn't even gave the order came and started argument in aggressive way and high tone and started fighting. We told him that we don't want argument, we cant eat the food as doctor suggested, we came dinner for having together family time , and requested him to please take it back we will pay the money. but still he was shouting and arguing “he said though we mentioned no oil or less oil but in their every food there will be butter and cream inside outside both and we have to have it, he told as we told no oil or else oil we should also tell them no butter. we told we will pay but we will not eat he was continuously talking aggressively, we told him not to spoil our mood as today is guru Poornima but still he was arguing. We never had experienced such behaviour in our life in any restaurant. assistance manager was watching but never bother to come. We had our food half and left. We all go to eat out to have good time but this kind of misbehaviour cant take it. Later, one more service person came to us whom we actually gave order and asked sorry from us for his colleague misbehaviour, but we told him that he should not be sorry for some ones else behaviour. Its a request to take action against Yuvraj service person. People should value their job rather then disrespecting and showing rowdiness. There are many innocent people who actually need job and value their job. For this kind of people customer stop visiting and brand name goes bad. We will never...
Read morePakashala is a franchisee mid range restaurant with several branches all over Bangalore and beyond including Singapore. It is one of those mid level fine dine restaurants having fancy names and serving south and north Indian cuisine along with indo Chinese dishes. Receipe for all dishes is typical and north Indian graves and rice are oil rich. North Indian breads such as roti or nan can be eaten while they are fresh and hot lest they become leathery while cold and it could be a challenge for elderly and those with sensitive teeth and digestive system. Most of the graves have oily texture and tastes similar. This is not wholly a negetive remark but this is how North Indian and indo Chinese menu tastes in hundreds of such restaurants in Bengaluru. Most of the visitors 6 appear to be happy about it. If you are expecting soft fluffy and invitingly crispy rotis or Kulcha, please look elsewhere. There are a few restaurants serving authentic fare at a premium price.. The restaurant is roomy and the seating is comfortable. The staff are attentive and courteous. There's no special kids menu. Dining on a holiday wouldn't be a leisurely affair due to more than average patrons. On week days you have an unhurried lunch with family and friends at ₹600 to ₹1000 per head if you share graves and rice. Remember the so-called Biriyani is nothing but Palav or typical oil rich...
