1522 The Pub Rajarajeshwari Nagar — Restaurant in Bengaluru

The place, ambience, food; was all fine. 28August2021, we three friends stayed from noon 1:45 until night 9:30; two sessions, but in continuity. As it was a weekend we decided to spend more time after wrapping up our first session around evening 6:30.

Finally while paying the bill after our second sitting, luckily we had a look at the bill. These guys are trying to loot people by taking advantage of customers getting spirited after having their drinks, or because people come in groups, or just because we believe the restaurant guys are prompt w.r.t billing. After collecting taxes, GSTs, still they are on looting the customers. Guys, kindly check the bill before you pay. On our second bill, they had blatantly added extra 6#s of whiskey and one extra pint of beer. As most of we go in groups, stay for long time, we hardly take a serious look on the bill given. We get careless, carefree; these restaurant guys take the advantage. Wish even we had verified our first bill too. After much argument, they reduced two numbers of whiskeys from the bill. Still we weren't satisfied. They didn't have the courtesy to even apologise.

We really didn't want to create chaos as it was late already and after 9pm there's the night curfew. The manager took my number to verify the bill again and get back, but he never got back even after a day. We were ready to accept if we were in fault, so we offered to view the CCTV footage too. But they didn't let us see the CCTV footage. As we sit for longtime, enjoy few drinks doesn't mean we are inebriated to be fooled. We are sure on howmuch we drink, and as we were only three of us, we were very much sure on our drinks and food ordered. Now I doubt we payed extra on our first bill too, for what we hadn't ordered. As I told we become careless when paying the bill. This is how they loot customers, unethical!

So let's be careful next time and have a thorough look on the bill given. When we don't argue on the rates they put on menus, why shouldn't we be careful on the bill received? Even the staff is sober, not welcoming. Hope this helps. 1522 guys develop some basic ethics, and stop looting...

My experience in 1522 R R Nagar was the worst, I never experienced this horrible disrespect from any of the other branches. I wouldn’t suggest anyone to go here. I have come here three times now and everytime we come here they have created nuisance. Mr. Bishwanath was serving our table. And one of our issue was that we ordered pepper chicken and they have served it with sugar on top and when we tell them about it. They very offensively said that this is how they cook. They denied to fix the issue. And when the manager came to us to try and sort the issue. He too was very rude and he did not even bother to listen to my issue. I go to pubs very often all around Bangalore and this is the only place that I have had so many issues and it’s never been addressed but they just disrespect every other time. As a customer I know that one basic manner is to listen the customers issues and atleast show that you will rectify the issue. But in this 1522, the manager and this particular waiter mr. bishwanath were very unprofessional. I will surely never recommend anyone to go to R R Nagar 1522. I have decided to escalate this issue further to the Health department, and as per FOOD SAFETY AND STANDARDS ACT, 2011 I have the right put out my concerns that have affected me by a well known hospitality industry. Had been here a week back. The pub is situated on 2 floors 4th and 5th. The 5th floor is the better of the 2 with an open atmosphere letting in natural ventilation into the place. The cage like seats are a crowd drawing factor but are reserved for more than 4 people. If you're just a couple prefer sitting closer to the open area or sit on the high chairs as the circular couch has no fans pointed at them and it tends to get hot if there is no wind blowing. Food was average with their Thai crispy chicken strips being heavily on the spicy side and their stuffed mushrooms were a better choice. Since we were only 2 in number, we were denied outside seating places as they were reserved for larger crowds.

There was no temperature checks or sanitizer available at the entry. I would strongly suggest the management to check vaccination credentials and temperature of people visiting the place as this can be the least way you could contribute to the eradication of Covid.

The waiters were just about ok and could do better with greeting people and suggesting dishes. Please include more continental dishes on your menu especially bar snacks. Also keep stocks of all beers mentioned on the menu as we literally had very less options to choose from.

I did love the song playlist. Please place more fans to circulate air especially near the circular couches.

Overall a nice place to visit with your family or friends....
