I recently visited Parika Coastal Village Bar & Kitchen and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience! I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for authentic coastal cuisine.
Firstly, the food was outstanding! The chefs at Parika have managed to strike a perfect balance of spices and other condiments in their dishes, making them not too spicy or too bland. Each dish has a unique flavour that leaves a lasting impression on your taste buds. I was particularly impressed with the Crab Soup, which was a perfect burst of flavours in the mouth. It was simply amazing!
Another must-try dish is the Chicken Urval, which is a red fiery dish made using ghee/coconut oil loaded with dry red chillies, curry leaves, cashew nuts and other spices. It is a Mangalorean delicacy mostly served as a starter. The dish was cooked to perfection and had the right amount of spiciness to it. It was truly a treat to my taste buds!
The staff at Parika were incredibly polite and hospitable. They made sure that our experience was a pleasant one from start to finish. They were knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent recommendations. Their warm and friendly approach added to the overall experience of dining at Parika.
Lastly, the interiors of Parika give a touch and feel of rural coastal Karnataka. The décor is rustic yet modern, and the attention to detail is evident in every corner of the restaurant. The ambiance is cozy and welcoming, making it a perfect place to enjoy a meal with friends or family.
Overall, I had an exceptional experience at Parika Coastal Village Bar & Kitchen. The food was outstanding, the staff were polite and hospitable, and the interiors were charming. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic coastal cuisine. It's a must-visit restaurant...
Read moreI was here with family for dinner. Let me get straight to the food. The Spicy Crab Soup had only egg white drop and no crab meat whatsoever. I showed it to the captain, he took away the bowl and agreed to change. In few minutes I get my soup back and abracadabra I see tiny traces of crab meat in my soup! Now this time the kitchen decides to go one step further - puts pieces of crab shells in my soup. Probably their way of showing that they have not forgotten to put crab meat in my crab soup. Who cares, even if this means I have to now inspect every spoon for shell pieces before sipping and eating, right? That experience btw is for 250+GST. I order lime soda, sweet & salt, but apparently my glass had forgotten to fizz. Again, I show it, they take it back and there comes my fizzy lime soda. Another magical experience, only for 119+GST. I order seer fish masala fry. For 590+GST it is fair to expect a single palm-sized slice. Instead, I get three small pieces that still don't add up in size. If those small pieces came from a small size seer fish then, really? did you fish them too early? Or, were you already out of stock in the very early hour of dinner time? Well, we did not bother to complain about this most expensive item in our order. We let common sense prevail and asked for the bill. No, wait, we did ask for the Ragi Manni desert. Fortunately, the waiter came back and said they didn't have it, so, bill...
Read moreParika is located in a 5 minute drive place from agara lake. There's a lot of parking space for two wheeler and four wheeler in front of the restaurant itself so that's not a issue.. I was here for a lunch. I ordered all my meal right away nd sat down relaxed. The first thing to come was the mutton shorba. Shorba was quite good compared to other places with adequate masala in it. Next came all the starters one by one like prawns ghee roast, chicken uruwal, classic fish grill and chicken zaffrani, Shanghai potato, hara bara kebab, silver fish rawa, Lady fish masala fry. All the starters here were just delicious with perfect quantity as well as matching quality. The fish was cooked to perfection and it was absolutely wonderful. The veg starters were pretty decent and come one with these sea food i was overwhelmed. For mains, I had fish pulimunchi with neer dose. Fish pulimunchi was just perfect and I loved it with neer dose which be the best. And as a rule, you finish the coatal food with a ragi manni which was light with sugar and tasted amazing for me. Too much sugar is bad for taste as well 🤣 and this ragi manni was just perfect.. On the whole, parika is a compete package of coastal food which nothing disappointed me and it's totally worth the visit. Service - 4/5 Ambience -...
