Hello Foodies, So I recently tried out the hyped Popeyes Fried Chicken they had opened multiple outlets in Bangalore. I visited the HSR outlet on a weekday in night time. The place was less crowded so I was able to place the order without standing in a queue, we also have a self ordering kiosk which you can see in the photos place your order and pay via card or UPI as per your convenience. Talking about the outlet, it was spacious enough to accommodate people they also have enough parking space for your vehicles (two, three & four wheelers).
I ordered 2Pc of their signature fried chicken which I always wanted to try, as it was so hyped all over. Their specialty is chicken being seasoned and allowed to sit for at least 12 hours to add maximum flavor. There was a small wait time for the food to be prepared like around 10-15 minutes. You will be given two packets of ketchup only with this. Once the food was ready I did not wait much and started eating it at that time itself. Always try to eat these kind of fried food within a specific time so that you can enjoy the crisp and flavours well. I personally liked the chicken but 8 star rating because it did not meet my expectation. May be because I had created a huge expectation about its taste due to the hype. I felt it similar to KFC with small difference in flavour.
Overall the experience was good and to the people who are gonna visit the outlet in coming days, I’ve heard they had introduced new flavours. You also get other items and combos. So just visit the outlet or can either order online or opt for takeaway and try out the item you feel to try. Read moreI visited Popeyes today and, unfortunately, observed several areas that require immediate attention and improvement. As a customer, I expected a more professional and hygienic environment, especially from a well-known quick service restaurant. Below are my observations:
Customer Service: There was no greeting or basic courtesy while placing the order, which impacted the overall experience.
Order Wait Time: I was not informed about the expected wait time, and the order took over 15 minutes with no updates provided.
Meal Options: There was no basic meal combo option available, such as adding a drink and fries, which is a standard in most QSRs.
Delivery Protocol: Delivery agents were observed entering the kitchen/food preparation area instead of using the designated delivery pick-up zone.
Hygiene & Safety: Staff and delivery personnel were not wearing hair caps inside the kitchen area, posing a serious contamination risk. Overall hygiene standards appeared to be lacking, with no visible cleaning or sanitization efforts during my visit.
Staff Appearance & Practices: Many staff members were not in proper uniforms; no aprons, hair caps, or appropriate footwear were observed. Some staff members were using their mobile phones while preparing food, which raises concerns about food safety.
7.Customer Etiquette: Basic customer service etiquette seemed to be missing across the team.
I am highly disappointed with the overall experience at Popeyes. The lack of hygiene, food safety protocols, and customer service is unacceptable.

Read moreWe had ordered a meal of bold burger (which contains fried chicken) fries and coke with two pieces of messy fried chicken. When my order KOT was up the person behind the counter (named Rahul) gave me the order with only one fried chicken, burger, fries and coke and confirmed that the other piece of chicken was being prepared and will be served to us in 2mins. We finished our meal in 15 mins and by then it was still not prepared. Considering we expect all the items to be freshly prepared, we expected that atleast it will be served by then, but then also the person behind counter informed us that it will take 2 more minutes. We said we donot want the chicken as we expect that all our items are freshly prepared and given my order had 3 chicken items, it is not possible that the kitchen will fry two pieces of chicken first and then fry another piece which will take 20 minutes in a QSR. The store manager, Rupali told us to wait for the chicken for more time as they will not be able to provide us with refund for their incompetence. We repeated that we donot want the chicken. Then a customer executive named Amrut called and said that they will be able to provide a refund regarding the incident but when I pointed out that the store manager has already told me they cannot give refund, he fumbled and continued to misguide me on call for a good 10mins trying to prove that somehow it's my fault that an empty Popeyes store in the heart of HSR layout was unable to provide a complete order in 20 minutes and instead provided us with old and cold food.
