Avoid This Place at All Costs! Terrible Experience.
I recently visited this restaurant, and it was an absolute disaster from start to finish. First off, the food was subpar at best, and the hygiene was non-existent. The restaurant is run by just the owner, his wife, and their child—no staff to help, which leads to incredibly slow service. I waited 45 minutes for a simple paneer tikka masala and roti, only to be served food that was practically inedible. The paneer was sour, smelled bad, and was completely bland, with zero seasoning. When I complained, the owner defensively claimed, "This is how we cook."
To make matters worse, the cleanliness was appalling. The basket used to serve the roti looked filthy, as if it hadn't been washed in ages. The owner himself seemed very unclean, wiping down tables and serving food without even bothering to wash his hands. It was honestly disgusting.
I ended up leaving without eating, and based on my experience, I strongly recommend you avoid this place. The reviews you see online are clearly fake. To top it all off, when I received the bill, there was no mention of GST breakup but it was added in the bill and the owner couldn’t provide any proper explanation, nor does he even seem to have a GST number.
This place is a health hazard, and action should be taken against the owner for such poor practices. Do yourself a favour and...
Read moreLady (owner) is rude in choice of her words in response to any comment that is not good. She displayed anger and denial, very unwelcome behavior.
Looked like it is run by a family running all over to get things done.
Food: It is pathetic. For them properly cooked means burnt pulka. For the high price charged, food quality and plating is like how any beginner would do (not good). So effectively there is no value for money.
Service: Owner (Lady) started by placing order for oil and flour. Like begin to dig the ground for water after feeling thirsty.
Atmosphere: located on the first floor but open towards road allowing all vehicle noise, exhaust fumes and dust from the busy road inside.
I have eaten in other places, who allow customers to check sanity of the kitchen; but in Punjabi Tandoor, they (especially the lady) resisted customers going near or in the kitchen area.
There are punjabi restaurants offering very good food, service, etiquette, respect, space, atmosphere but...
Read moreI have had terrible food experiences before but this was the worst one. The atmosphere is 'NOTHING'. It doesn't have any. Secondly, the service was so poor, it was just one person who was doing the tables, serving the dishes, getting bills done etc. It took around 45 mins for them to serve us just a paneer tikka masala and phulka. And now the food, it was very bad. I have never had paneer tikka masala sour in taste. On confronting them, they said this is how they serve it. They did offered to replace it but it was again going to take another 30 mins. So we had what it was. Lastly I would also like to mention about the hygiene. If you will see around, you will notice that the man never washes his hand, the serving trays were dirty and I had a glance at the kitchen too and I feel nobody would like to have food coming out from that kitchen. So I would rate 0/5...
