My recent visit to Roti Satkar in Bangalore left me enchanted by the delightful fusion of Udupi and North Indian flavors. This restaurant skillfully marries the authenticity of Udupi cuisine with the rich tapestry of North Indian dishes, creating a unique and satisfying dining experience. The ambiance at Roti Satkar is warm and inviting, with a seamless blend of Udupi's traditional charm and modern aesthetics. The staff is attentive, providing insightful recommendations from the diverse menu that caters to both Udupi enthusiasts and lovers of North Indian cuisine. We commenced our culinary journey with the Udupi Special Masala Dosa, a crisp delight filled with a spiced potato mixture. The accompanying sambar and coconut chutney added a perfect touch of authenticity to this South Indian classic.Transitioning to North Indian flavors, the Paneer Tikka at Roti Satkar was a revelation. The succulent paneer cubes marinated to perfection were a testament to the culinary expertise of the chefs. Paired with mint chutney, it set the stage for the delightful feast to follow. For the main course, we opted for the Roti Satkar Special Thali, which featured a delectable spread of Udupi and North Indian specialties. The Butter Naan, in particular, was a highlight, pairing exceptionally well with the aromatic North Indian curries.Roti Satkar excels in maintaining the authenticity of each cuisine while skillfully blending them together. The Udupi and North Indian dishes coexist harmoniously on the menu, allowing diners to savor the best of...

Went here based on the ratings and it was a total disappointment.

Ambience- This is the only good thing about this place. Good seating arrangement. The layout of the restaurant is good. Food -

  1. The Butter Masala Dosa was very bad, especially the butter used was tasting bad. Could eat only half of it.

  2. The Batura Chole - The Batura was big and nice, However, it was just with Chole and few raw onion and cucumber slices. No pickel, no fried chillies. The chole was very blunt , no spice , no salt. So overall below average food.

Service - This was the Total Disaster. The cash counter person was unfriendly and took no interest in customers. The service counter guys were average. The disaster happened when while eating I went to get some glass of water and immediately a waiter came and cleaned the food/table.. I could not even finish the food. When i asked him, his response was arrogant too, rather than apologetic of the mistake.

Pricing - Moderate pricing, but not worth the value of food.

Overall a bad experience from food to service. Won't visit...

Visited Roti satkar that was newly opened in the area. The ambience is great. The wall mural painting depicting their restaurant name is lovely. Neatly dressed staff and what i really liked is they even had women chefs there unlike other places where it's only men. Ordered veg Paratha, rava dosa and masal Puri. The chat was really good followed by Paratha and rava dosa. They have a range of items like holige, millet bisi bele bath, dosa items, even Chinese and Italian food like pasta. They have range of ice creams and drinks. The staff is neatly dressed. There was a lot of crowd and no place to sit. We managed to get some place to sit. They cook here in RO water so it's very clean and safe to have Pani Puri as well. *They don't add artificial colors. They make chutney without onion garlic. *They don't add ajino motto or eno for soda. *They cook without adding soda. Overall it's a very healthy food that you can expect. I will definitely visit again.

Suggestion : To make enough place to keep plates and eat even if we have to...

I recently ordered paneer bhatura from here and I must say, I was highly disappointed with the experience. The dish was supposed to have paneer in it, but to my surprise, there was barely any paneer in it, almost none! It felt like a complete rip-off for the price I paid. But that's not all. The overall behavior of the staff and the cashier was equally unpleasant. They seemed disinterested and were quite rude when I tried to address the issue with the missing paneer. It's a shame that they don't value their customers and their satisfaction. Considering the lack of paneer in the paneer bhatura and the poor behavior of the staff, I wouldn't recommend dining at Roti Satkar. There are plenty of other places in the area where you can enjoy delicious food and receive better service. Save yourself the disappointment and look for alternatives!

UNSATISFACTORY EXPERIENCE: AVOID THIS RESTAURANT This restaurant is too expensive for the quality and quantity of food offered. Our order included: * Butter Masala Dosa (₹110): They didn't even have a normal masala dosa option. The portion was definitely not sufficient for a single meal, practically requiring another purchase. * Sweet Corn Pasta (₹110): We received plain white pasta instead of sweet corn pasta. When we brought this to their attention, they simply added corn to the existing white pasta and returned it, rather than preparing the correct dish. Beyond the pricing and incorrect orders, the food taste was also worst. Recommendation: Better to avoid this restaurant and save your money.
