Food is average - we ordered paal kappa chicken, pidi chicken, parotta and butter chicken. Paal kappa was comparatively ok but pidi chicken not even upto the mark. Presentation was even more horrible as we couldn’t even spot what’s underneath curry and I had to bring pidi and kappa out to the top to take the pics. It was more like a curry plate. Parotta was not flaky and butter chicken tasted like masala chicken without any butter taste.
As there are many mallu restaurants serving amazing food at Bangalore, this experience was average. Surprised to see so many positive reviews . Restaurant was almost empty when we were there.
Underground parking which has just enough space for small cars to get in. No security guard to help as while coming back from parking to road, construction is in such a way that view is blocked till u reach the top. Very risky considering it’s a busy road and many vehicles r also parked blocking the entrance.
Ambience was clean and ok, they started only 1 month back and mainly as a restaurant serving park hotel resident’s..
Waiters non attentive even for serving water. Food is just kept on table and they leave without saying a word on which item Atleast.
Overall not worth the effort. I...
Read moreNote to the person who replied to my review: get your facts straight, the dine in itself was so bad to even consider ordering a parcel. Check your recordings if you have a functioning CCTV system rather than just trusting the team on ground. Next, if you improve your food quality, good for you.
Original review: Had tried this restaurant sometime in August, the food was average and the service had a lot of scope for improvement. Since it has been a few months, gave this restaurant the benefit of doubt and attepted to have dinner one Saturday evening. Despite the rating of 4.7 on Google, was surprised to find the place next to empty. That should have been my first warning to turn back. But since we were already hungry ordered a few items. The meat in the stew was chewy, porotta was uncooked, chicken curry was tasteless and the sauce in fish nirwana and paal porotta were both curdled. In addition, the time taken was beyond acceptable. Many of the dishes were remaining in our plates by the end. Despite that the staff didn't bother checking with us even once as to what went wrong. I guess this is another restaurant which has focussed almost all its energy in marketing and not on the quality of the food or...
Read moreI recently dined at Raandhal Restaurant near Nexus Forum Mall in Koramangala. The experience was a mix of good and bad.
The Paal Kappa with Fish Curry was well made the tapioca was soft, and the fish curry had a nice flavor. The Kappa Meen Curry was also decent, with a balanced taste. However, the Crab Roast was disappointing dry, overcooked, and lacking flavor. The Pulinchi Prawns were equally bad, with tough prawns and missing the expected tangy-spicy taste.
Service was a major letdown. It took nearly an hour for the food to arrive, and the staff seemed inattentive. The pricing was inconsistent some dishes were reasonable, while others, like the Crab Roast, were overpriced for the quality and portion size.
On the positive side, the restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere clean and comfortable.
Overall, if you're looking for Kerala style kappa dishes, this place is acceptable. But I wouldn’t recommend the seafood specialties, and be prepared for slow service. I might return for the kappa based items but would...
