Never Ever order biryani from this restaurant . Especially Mutton Biryani. I have been eating in this restaurant before it was not even known as the "Rahhams". The quality the quantity was all good until recent times from past 2-3 years where the quality has drastically reduced and in the name of mutton Biryani they feed us only bones when you ask for parcel . Plus the taste has become bland and very oily . They have been increasing the price as if they are serving only some royal families . The position they are now is only of those customers who are from middle class of all religions who come to eat there and have been your promoters. Now you don't address your loyal customer's feedback your restaurant will shutdown in few years. Your staff has no decency to talk to customers . Plus your parcel of biryani is the most biggest hoax . Your online order partbe charges ₹400 for 400ml of biryani with one piece + additional charges of ₹74 . But what you receive in the end ia bones and some oily food . This has not happened once but has repeated 4 times . So next time I go to the frazer town Rahham's and order for parcel mutton biryani and tell them what happened . So they assured that this will not happen again and they packed . So I opened the parcel right in front of him and found the same Bones with no flesh . Rahham's has lost it . They no more value their customer , hence if anyone who are ordering for parcel from Rahham's mutton Biryani if this happens to you . Call them and return and get your money back . They will change their attitude only if people stop...
Read moreThe first time I visited this particular branch was in November 2012 with family. After exactly 11 years (give or take a few days), I am impressed that Rahams didn't disappoint me and maintained the 1 Star rating I gave it 11 years ago. They are consistent, you got to give them that.
Where to begin:
The food is definitely overpriced and not worth it. The Taste I'm told is good but I found their "Biryani" mediocre. Not definitely biryani but above a Pulao. No matter what they say, do not believe them when they say "it's not spicy", as everything has an underlying aftertaste of extra Chilli. Even the kid-friendly 'Afghani Tikka' had a Chilli 🌶 aftertaste.
My kid struggled with the spicy Biryani even though they entire helping they served us on top of the pot was plain pulao rice (I will not call what they refer to Biryani as Biryani as its not). I believe it was the elderly Owner who suggested this but I'm sorry, it had Chilli. Even the Afghani Tikka had this Chilli taste from marination.
I am a regular Bangalorean who was born grew up in a family living in Bangalore since last 5 generations and loves Bangalore food. We Bangaloreans love our Chilli and my kids are being fed the same food ever since they learned to chew. If we say it's spicy, IT IS SPICY!
However, if you happen to love extra Chilli in your food, then..... you...
Read moreA regular to this restaurant. It is one of those places you need to know what to order for a non vegetarian. I have a lot of vegetarian friends visiting here and despise have come there. It's definitely a no go for veggies as almost every one have told the same thing as it does not tickle thier taste buds. Now as for the specifics that one needs to order here: Mutton chops Mutton karela Pahadi chicken Mutton biryani Just these are the ones we order everytime we go there. It's better to call them before arriving there as they may not be available always. They are courteous to get them from another near by branch. The meat has always been tender and on request they will reheat the dish. They provide a complimentary kheer at the end. Cost wise this is reasonable for the yummy taste. Ambience is nothing great to talk about with basic sofas towards the wall and chairs. Sometimes to get out of the sofas is a challenge as they are too soft. Water is scarce in the washroom. Parking can be a challenge during busy hours in front of the restaurant. All in all food and taste wise this is the place and most times have had a good experience and would recommend to hard core...
