Reddy Home Mess — Restaurant in Bengaluru

I had a lot of expectations for this place. I've been meaning to visit for a long time & I finally did. It was even featured on a food vlogging YouTube channel that I follow and they had good things to say about this restaurant which made me finally visit. Have to admit that it was quite underwhelming and disappointing to say the least. It wasn't like i visited during odd time. I went here on one of their busy days for dinner at around 7.30pm & I wasn't impressed. You would expect food to be hot & fresh when you visit early. I took plate meals, royal chicken and fish fry.

Fish fry was ok. 7/10, nothing really to write home about. It was a regular bangda fish fry & was quite alright

Plate meals was average and nothing really stood out. Rice was cold, veg side dishes were cold. Sambar, rasam and pappu were hot because they'd probably reheated them.

Royal chicken was the most disappointing one. I'm certain the dish wasn't freshly prepared. Felt like it was made in the afternoon, kept in fridge and served for dinner. At least they could have reheated it but they probably thought it's not important because I was just another paying customer.

I might give this place another chance to redeem itself. I'll try to visit for lunch some time & see if there is an...

Ordered Fish Biryani, got delivered Kushka rice with fried fish which didn't taste like fish at all. Kushka rice had chicken pieces in it. Mr. Reddy seems to lack understanding of coastal dishes. My suggestion to Mr. Reddy would be please try Fish Biryani at NChef very near your location.
