Sector 7 Café — Restaurant in Bengaluru

Another Sunday dinner outing to rejoice ourselves with the treaty of delicacies. Task (yes, the task, because searching for a decent restaurant is not easy) was forced on my other half to dig a lovely, unique, authentic restaurant with authentic delicacies to rejoice ourselves. It took almost a huge enormous time (the never-ending) to find our addaa for today's dinner (please, she searched for an hour only). So the chosen one was "SECTOR 7 Cafe" located in HSR Layout. As usual (yup as usual, but sorry we were a bit hungry also), we jumped on the menu as ordered platters such as 'Mushroom Corn Bake,' and 'Loaded Potatoes. Yes, service took all the time in the world to get our platters to our table. Meanwhile, we started gazing (yes, gazing only, please) over the place. However, it’s a cafe but lacks novels, and I believe they should keep some small table and wooden partition corners for those who want to read, but on the contrary side the space is quite unpractical, but make a small wall side table with high stools will do the work. So finally ... finally we got our platters and trust me I can bet you can fill your tummy (if you have like me a kind of not big one please), but to my chaos please someone could have explained me how to dig into our "Loaded Potatoes", we were sort of having a discussion (I'll say healthy) over whether to eat the out shell potato or not, or its merely purpose only to act as an bowl, finally nevertheless we end up digging a bit of it (if your think you are smart please let us know, really please not require eat your platters)..... oh I forgot to mentioned we have order a hot chocolate also that they came twice to ask for it but still they forgot it, and upon reminder they said OMG (just exaggerating it) nothing but was quite clear that they forgot it, soon after another waiter came and said it is ready he will bring, but after a discussion for a while he changed the statement to he is going to prepare it and bring it for us, but mine was a biiiiiiiiiiiiiggggg No, and we were quick with our another order i.e. "11" Grilled Cottage Cheese Pizza", I'll bet you will like it more that dominos and pizza hut and price was also in that range only. But the small suggestion to owner add wheat base option also. Finally, we meet the owner, we told our story, only the hot chocolate part, and he seems to be humble. Not only he apologized to us and gave us the complimentary hot chocolate drink, and he later left for the day. But to my surprise the staff charged us for the Hot chocolate, we were like realllllllllyyyyy but but that was on the house as said by the owner, nyhow we prefer not to mention it to the staff and paid our bill. Note: The owner also informed that his three staff are on leave, so he is facing issues with the restaurant services, so it's well understood why service took a prolonged time. Few suggestions to owner: Please ask your staff to shower regularly or at least use deodorant generously, one guy smelling like hell yaaak I can't explain and the last being a cafe they really need to work on their drinks (not the hard drink) the coffee segment, because we found that hot chocolate quite neutral (sorry we gave wrong feedback that time :-(, please). Great place to visit, fabulous menu, but except drinks. Recommended for Family/Friend outing, even for a date, and should try...

The place is located in a prime location in HSR. Easy to locate. We went there on a Saturday night and it was almost half way full. The decor of the place is little on the anitque side and also has a collection of books available for the book lovers. There is ample amount of spacing available between tables respecting the privacy. We started with choco banana smoothie and strawberry shake in the beverages. Choco Banana Smoothie A mix of of banana and a tinge of chocolate drink. A new taste. Though I was hoping it too be less sweet as it was. Strawberry Shake A normal strawberry shake with blend of strawberry syrup. From the taste of the drink, I could make out that syrup was used instead of real strawberries. Average drink. French fries We were hoping for a side dip too with this with some seasoning. But it was plain french fries which were lightly salted. French fries were thin and crispy and amount was fine. Pepperoni Pizza A 12 inch thin crust pizza which a crisp thin base and cheese and pepperoni as toppings. This was a nice order. You could try if you love pizzas. A lot of options are available. Eggs Kejriwal A 3 egg well cooked omelette with spinach, mushrooms and jalapenos as the choice of fillings. A fluffy omelette with baked beans and mashed potatoes and brown bread with butter on side. The filling was fine but I thought it lack a little seasoning. Service is nice. The servers are round a clock and do not delay in anything. Though we ordered all at once, one good thing is that they bought us everything at the table at appropriate times which didn't crowd and prevented the food from getting cold also. I wish to give them 3* but the service was a major let down. The guy taking order and handling billing section as well was ignoring our request at various moments. He was not courteous at all. There was a time when I used to recommend sector 7 cafe to every individual I met be them asking for food recommendation or not. But lately there quality and service has been degraded a lot. I went here for a sunday brunch with couple of my friends, I told them that they must try this cafe once and then they'll be here again and again on there own, so all of them were having high hopes as I already boasted a lot about it to them.

So we started with the beverages, we ordered:

🥂Peanut butter banana smoothie & coconut colada(These two were the saviour of our day there, rest everything being a let down)

🥂Virgin mojito: Highly disappointing Cold coffee: Too sweet for anyone and bitter due to high quantity of coffee in it

🥂Fresh lime soda: Below average

Moving to food we ordered based on recommendations by them only:

🍄Frittata Greenie Omelette- This was just plain omelette with salt missing. We were expecting it to be well stuffed with spinach, corn and mushroom but these were just blended with the egg. On asking for replacement, the omelette served again just merely contained spinach, corn and mushroom.

🍄Chicken Ham & Egg sandwich- This was good in taste and wholesome meal accompanied with lays.

🍄Veg Au Gratin- Seasonal vegetables gratinated with bechamel sauce and baked cheese was Okayish in taste.

🍄Cheesy Chicken Omelette- This was again good in taste with great stuffing in terms of taste and quantity. This was served along with baked beans and mashed potato.
