I and my wife had been here on 11th Nov, 2017. The roof top was closed so we had to occupy at bar side area. The place is a bit cosy but was very much refreshing as the cold breeze kept flowing through that open space. Being pure vegetarian i had ordered a Cottage cheese medallion sizzler, Gobi Manchurian and Farm fresh pizza. Gobi Manchurian and Pizza were delicious. The biggest mistake they did was of serving me NON VEG SIZZLER. The manager there was completely unaware of this blunder. A gentle man sitting on the next table who was aware of me ordering Veg sizzler, figured out that i was served a non veg sizzler. It was basically their dish served to me. I had luckily started only with the side vegetables. Later when the gentle man informed the manager and me about the issue, i was very furious, the waiter came told sorry and took away the dish. Manager didn't had the courtesy to come and apologise. After i called him, then he said sorry and said that the waiter was new. He got the the sizzler that wasn't steaming/smoking at all. I neglected it as i was very hungry. Later while billing he came up with 18% GST and 7% service charge. For a non AC restaurant he was charging me 18% GST. He told that its liquor serving area, so they can apply that amount, but he told he can remove the service charge. I had a few pizza slice left on plate that i asked him to pack it. He charged me even for the container in Bill. I was really socked to see how cheap a restaurant can be to charge for a small container(which no restaurant does). He didn't even try to compensate for the mistake he had done for serving me Non veg dish, but on contrary he was debating for GST. At the end he offered 10% discount, but till then a lot of debate we had gone through. Management must understand the mistake that was done by the waiter of serving non-veg and the manager by not checking the things before they went on to customer's table. Food is undoubtedly very tasty, but the staff is untrained and so is the Manager. This incident of non veg i didn't took it to high level, but surely someone else might have created big problems for the restaurant. There is still time for management to understand their mistakes and overcome them before its too late. And please remember, apologise don't work for everything. I am also attaching the wrong...
Read moreTo start with I selected this place for my lunch meet with friends after reading good reviews on Zomato, and they would accept gold membership. Which they did. We were greeted nicely by staff. They have valet parking, nice ambiance, nice place to hangout etc etc.
Now that I have mentioned all the good things I noticed, let me get to the point. We were four pure vegetarian gals at the table and had ordered “VEG creamy tomato and basil” soup, Gauva drink, Mexican salsa toast and “VEG stir fry”.
And guess what?? We were served “Non VEG soup”, “VEG stir fry” with HAIR in it. (No kidding).
For some reason we did not feel right with the soup the minute we saw it, so we asked our server if it was veg soup. He was 100% sure it was veg. Still suspecting something not right we asked him to cross check again. He got an other server with him who also confirmed it was veg.
Now convinced that two of them could not be wrong, we started to drink the soup. The smell and taste was nothing like what we had ever tasted before in our life. Feeling something unsual we were looking at each other’s face, when the third guy came and said it’s a NON veg soup.
Wow!!! That quick Mister, you just gave us our first non veg experience.
Manager was polite enough to apologise. I appreciate that but by then my friend was too scared to eat anything else on the table.
Parallelley, we had veg stir fry on our plates and one of the pieces had a long strand of hair and that was our cue to call off the lunch and walk out.
When asked for bill they refused to take any money for our gauva drink (which two out of four of us had drank) and toast.
We vegetarians take things like this too personally, I kindly request the staff and management to be over cautious when we make special requests and don’t blindly confirm things which you are...
Read moreDropped in to Stories for lunch with a friend recently, and had a great experience!
The place has a lovely ambience, with lots of open seating, greenery and natural light. Seating is comfortable.
There is an extensive menu for starters and main course here, including many vegetarian options. We tried out the Paneer Pepper Fry, China Town Mushroom, Baby Potato Skewers and Melted Cheese Nachos. I especially loved the mushrooms, and the paneer was quite good too. The nachos was decent. The potatoes were spicy, but delicious.
From the mocktails, we sampled White Horse, Raw Mango Spritzer and Love Just One, all of which were very well crafted and refreshing.
Main course was Pasta Arrabiatta and Roghni Paneer with Garlic Naan. Both were very well done. The paneer was soft and succulent, the gravy perfect to soak up the garlicky naan. The pasta was rustic and simple, tasty.
They have only 2-3 dessert options available, of which we chose the Mud Pie and the Gooey Brownie With Ice Cream. The Mud Pie became an instant favourite, warm and gooey, perfectly decadent and soft. The brownie was a treat along with the vanilla ice cream.
Overall, we had a great time here, with the friendly staff always ready to share their recos or help with...
