1 (in addition to my 5) from my beer-crazy friend who absolutely loves the house craft beer here. It's not a shocker that this joint features in the top 10 of most lists in Bangalore. The location,
the crowd, the best home pub , perfectly complimenting food and a super play list - it has it all. I have been here a few times and never ever have I seen this place not crowded. It's that good.
Personally, they make the best LIITs. My friend will vouch for their beer, any day. He had the Dark Knight last time and was just in love with it. Oh, their pitcher of Banglore sunset was ridiculous - must try if you are with your gal pals. For next time I visit, I have my eyes and thirst buds set on their red lips.
Fries, wedges, baked nachos, onion rings were all welcome, some even on repeat. Although, onion rings were my least favorite. pizza is so yummy!
Can't not mention the service. I can only imagine the patience and consideration it would take to host such an insane crowd - weekends, in and out. Always had great experience.
On another note - we were super impressed to see hoc allows dance inside seating area. However, it is a nonsmoking section...perhaps the management can continue this great gesture by delegating a more cleaner area for the people to hang out?
My favourite pub in Bangalore 😍 The best to be honest that i have had so far ❤️ I travelled all the way from austria to Bangalore just to try hoc pub cause i heard so much about this place from moose.
And the place was THE best and did not disappoint me at all ..!!
The chicken wings here are must try 😍😍 it was too good. The fish finger was just the way i expected it to be glazed and the skin was crispy on top. And the lamb fry was good too..
The ambience was just great. Not too loud music and a very nice place with a great view to dine at. They even provide samples of their craft beers.
The staffs were so warm and helpful. Since it was my first time they guided me with the food and what type of beer i could go for. So much in love with this place and sure to be back everytime i visit Bangalore ❤️ A must visit place with friends and family ❤️❤️😇😇 🍕🍺
Hoc is like Riot, in good sense. More than the good food and great staffs, its the electric atmosphere that you see and breathe and feel. It's absolutely a riot of jauntiness oozing from good mood of people and the food and drinks to match the mood.
It's situated at j.p nagar which is a famous posh joint for shopping and night life. You can see a list of good brands that are situated here and have many things to offer. But there's nothing like hoc.
They get packed to more than capacity and people don't seem to mind standing for a while and grab a drink before they get seated.
A little time spent inside is enough to get affected by the atmosphere. The spirit in your glass and the spirit of the place magically envelops you in and time flies by pretty quickly.
Hoc rock in...
Read more"House of Commons" is a pub that holds the promise of camaraderie and comfort but delivers a mixed bag of experiences. As a venue for a company team lunch, the pub's ambiance, unfortunately, struck a dissonant note. The loud atmosphere, combined with the pervasive presence of cigarette smoke due to its confined space, proved to be rather unsettling.
The food, while expected to be a highlight of the outing, was a letdown. With a rating of 2/5, the non-vegetarian starters failed to impress, as fish and chicken dishes exhibited an uncanny similarity in taste. This lack of variety dampened the culinary aspect of the visit, leaving much to be desired.
Parking became an additional hurdle for a convenient visit to "House of Commons." Street parking proved to be a challenge, with limited spaces available nearby. The situation forced patrons to park several streets away, requiring an inconvenient walk to the pub.
In sum, the overall experience at "House of Commons" was marred primarily by the discomfort caused by the prevalent cigarette smoke. While pubs are expected to have an energetic atmosphere, the combination of loudness and smoke detracted from the desired enjoyment. Alongside this, the underwhelming food variety and the inconvenience of parking compounded the negative aspects of the visit. For those seeking a relaxed, smoke-free ambiance and a more diverse culinary selection, this pub might not be the...
Read moreHouse of Commons in JP Nagar was once among the go-to hangout spots for people looking for good food, drinks, and a lively atmosphere. While it still offers ample open space and decent rooftop vibes, it feels like the place is slowly losing its charm.
The ambiance remains one of its strongest points—with quirky interiors, relaxed rooftop seating, and a generally upbeat crowd. It’s a good place to chill with friends over drinks, especially during happy hours. The bar menu is extensive and the cocktails are still fairly enjoyable. Live sports screenings and music continue to add energy to the space, though the volume can get overwhelming at times.
However, the food quality seems to have dropped in recent months. Dishes that were once crowd favorites—like their crispy corn, garlic chicken, and platters—now feel inconsistent in taste and presentation. Even the service can be hit or miss depending on how busy it is. The staff is polite, but often slow and inattentive during peak hours.
Despite these issues, the place still has potential, especially for casual evenings out. The pricing is mid-range (around ₹1,200–₹1,500 for two), which feels fair if you’re mostly here for the drinks and ambiance rather than the food.
In short, House of Commons offers decent vibes and spacious seating but needs to bring back the consistency and quality that once made...
