Talk of the town — Restaurant in Bengaluru

It’s hard to articulate how awful this place is. I ordered a Lemon Soda with sugar especially requesting NO SALT. Ten minutes later I received a full salt Lemon Soda? Okay no big deal ..

I ordered Butter Chicken with plain steamed rice & a plain naan. Twenty minutes go by & a bowl of unappetising looking stewed shredded chicken in a weird red coloured sauce with a blob of butter on top appears .. no rice, no naan.

I wait patiently for three, four, five minutes before requesting the missing rice & bread. The waiter tells me it’s coming & promptly disappears. More minutes pass & still nothing, my “Butter Chicken” is congealing, I taste it .. it’s disgusting.

Everything is screaming I’m going to get ill dining here so I cut my losses & go to the desk to pay. The kitchen is opposite the desk & I see my rice & naan going cold on the side. I get charged 1,100 Rupees for a salty Lemon Soda that I couldn’t drink & a disgusting bowl of God knows what that I couldn’t eat.

Disappointed Experience!

The quality of the food was severely lacking. I ordered the chicken Shawarma, and to my dismay, it was served with rotten chicken. Not only was this a health concern, but it also greatly affected the taste and overall enjoyment of the meal. This negligence in food preparation is simply unacceptable.

Overall, my experience at Talk of the Town was subpar due to the presence of rotten chicken, inadequate handwashing facilities, and the improper preparation of the fried rice. Since it is a bar and family restaurant, talk of the town is average. Food is spicy there. We ordered chicken manchow soup and it was not upto the mark and the chicken 65 was with semi gravy and it was spicy yet the only dish i can say was better than others .
