🇫🇮 It's really the best Thai vegetarian restaurant I've ever eaten

"The Thai Vegan Kitchen is a must-visit for both vegan and Thai food lovers". The restaurant is owned by Nandu, who is very serious about using fresh ingredients and reducing food waste. This is why all food is prepared to order, and reservations are required for both dine-in and takeaway. The attention to detail in the preparation of each dish was evident, and the flavors were simply outstanding. The use of fresh ingredients was noticeable in every bite, and the presentation of the dishes was beautiful. The dine-in place is neatly arranged and has a positive vibe. The green ambiance and soothing Thai-Japanese garden music playing in the background create a relaxing and enjoyable dining experience. It's the perfect setting to savor the delicious vegan Thai cuisine. I had the pleasure of trying a variety of dishes from the menu, including the Khao Seuy, Thai Tofu Red Curry Burger with Corn Salad, Pineapple Fried Rice, Summer Rolls with Peanut Dipping Sauce, Maprao On dessert, Lemongrass and Lime Mojito, and Lemongrass Pandan Tea. Each dish was a delight to the senses and showcased the skill and creativity of the owner and staff. The Khao Seuy was a flavorful and hearty noodle dish, with perfectly cooked rice noodles and a curry sauce that was packed with umami flavor. The Summer Rolls were a highlight, with their fresh and crispy texture. The accompanying peanut dipping sauce was the perfect blend of sweetness and nuttiness. The Thai Tofu Red Curry Burger was a delicious and satisfying vegan burger, with the tofu patty cooked to perfection and the corn salad adding a nice crunch. The Pineapple Fried Rice was a refreshing and light dish, with the pineapple and rice cooked just right and the chili flakes providing a delightful kick. For dessert, the Maprao On was a decadent treat. The coconut ice cream and pandan jelly were perfectly balanced, creating a creamy and aromatic delight. To complement the meal, I enjoyed the Lemongrass and Lime Mojito, a refreshing and well-crafted cocktail. The combination of lemongrass, lime, mint, and soda was simply refreshing and invigorating. The Lemongrass Pandan Tea was a calming and aromatic tea that provided a pleasant ending to the dining experience. Overall, my experience at The Thai Vegan Kitchen was exceptional. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was inviting. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great vegan Thai meal. The commitment to fresh ingredients, no food wastage, and a delightful dining ambiance make it a standout destination for both vegans and Thai food enthusiasts.

Absolutely the best Vegan restaurant in the city. I visited on a weekday and it was absolutely quiet, no people, just enjoyed my food with a soothing Thai music. Everything was extremely perfect, the vibe, the music, the food, the restaurant and coincidentally the climate was great. What I ordered --> Appetiser: 1. Tofu Tempura dipped in fresh garlic chilli basil sauce (Thempura) - The tofu was soft from inside, and the sauce was tasty. The combination was perfect. But it was less spicy. If ordering this appetiser and if you're a fan of spice, let them know. Main dishes: 2. Stir fried glass noodles with vegetables and tofu (Pad woon sen) -The noodles combination with the soft tofu and crunchy vegetables was awesome. It looks appetizing too. It's less spice and kindly let the chef know if you wanted it more spicy. 3. Thai evolved Massaman curry burger - The stuff inside of the burger was super fabulous. I loved the taste, but tbh, didn't like the burger bread, it was just okay. They will have to focus on the bread. Desserts: 4. Maprao on - You can't stop with one "Maprao On", unless you've 2-3 of them, you'll feel sufficient. It's a thai traditional dessert and it's superb. Going by the looks, I was skeptical, but one spoon in my mouth changed my whole judgement on this. You might think I'm hyping it too much, but that's what I felt like. It's partially similar to Indian's custard pudding texture. 5. Fresh coconut ice cream sundae - I didn't find much special about the ice-cream, it was good. It didn't make me feel like I need more of this. Just because it's vegan, I ordered and tried it. Overall, I enjoyed my time here. I'll definitely increase my frequency of visiting this restaurant and update this review with more items. We were 2 and our bill came out to be approx 1500/-, so I'd say a person could eat around 750/- to 1000/- of food. But honestly, don't look at the price, it's once in a while privileged food, so dig into the food with full delight. Note: It's better to pre-order your food as early as possible for medium to large groups. But at the very least you'll have to pre-order an hour before. PS: Kindly do not judge this review as a paid review just because it is lengthy. I'm an honest 100% local guide helping people like you and businesses grow by providing genuine feedbacks.

It's an experience

I have tried Thai food multiple times outside of India, specifically in the United States. However, I never had authentic Thai food until I came back to BLR (ironically). I and a friend decided to try this place, upon recommendation.

It was a 5 course meal which we had to inform of our choices in the menu a day in advance, for lunch. Once we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the owner who is the main chef. The place itself is within a residential area. It is calm and serene, and felt exclusive and private. The owner of the place explained his journey into Thai food, having transitioned from film making for ads to full-time in cooking authentic vegan Thai cuisine, a great journey.

This is the menu we chose for lunch -

Drink - Lemongrass Ginger Tea Soup - Tom Yum Soup Salad - Glass Noodle Salad Starters - Fresh Rice Paper Spring Rolls with Peanut Sauce Veg Tempura dipped in Chilli Garlic Basil Sauce Mains - Thai fried rice and Stir Fried Mixed Vegetables in Hot garlic sauce Drunken Noodles Dessert - Vegan Ice cream

I was frankly blown away by the delicious and highly nourishing vegan Thai food. It was hard to believe that it was vegan, it was that good! Each ingredient is made in-house, clearly with very intentional love and care.

Having personally experienced food at many fine dining and Michelin star places in the world such as Spago (in Bellagio, Las Vegas) or even Hell's Kitchen, I can confidently say that with the right improvements and approach that this Thai Vegan Restaurant can reach to such heights. And I firmly believe in promoting such local businesses that are run with passion and care, and undoubtedly, this is one of them.

Thank you to the all the staff for providing us with a...
