Theobroma Bakery and Cake Shop - BTM Layout, Bengaluru — Restaurant in Bengaluru

The employees at this BTM bank are polite and well-mannered, in contrast to the Koramangala location.

I have always been fond of Theobroma not only for their desserts but also for ambience. This outlet is quite compact, hosts just 2 tables.The place is maintained neat and clean including the washroom.

We ordered fresh pineapple pastry, mango pastry, a croissant, a paneer veg roll, Wada pav and 2 cup cakes - 1 red velvet and 1 chocolate flavoured.

The fresh pineapple pastry was as delightful as ever, the seamless blending of fresh cream with pineapple and pineapple cubes makes it perfect. The best part’s it doesn’t have the after taste.

The mango pastry was as good as pineapple, I didn’t find much difference apart from the white chocolate stripes covering it. Only sad part was they had little yellow flowers on a mango pastries which had egg in them and none of the vegetarian mango pasty had that privilege of getting the flower.

The paneer roll was really amazing, the spicy flavourful paneer stuffed inside a soft bread had a perfect balance of flavours.

My friend said croissant was good.

The cupcakes were disappointing, they were hard, crumbly and lacked moisture. Even the icing wasn’t creamy. Either is was kept in low temperature for long time or it was an old stock.

The surprise was the Wada pav. It’s the reconstruction of our authentic vada pav. It’s a must try item...

Ordered 2 cakes today (13/7/25) for delivery. BOTH CAKES WERE NOT FRESH. I had ordered 2 cakes on 3/7/25. That time also 1 cake was not fresh.

Either overall quality of Theobroma has gone down drastically OR this BTM outlet is serving stale product. Either way , this is shameful. They also do not respond to feedback given on the order.

When we pay high amounts we expect product to be of equally high quality.

Sadly, this seems to not be the case here.

We have ordered many times from here. Previously, cakes were fresh and really good.

EDIT Received a call from customer support after I sent them an email. All they said was, in future if this repeats, I should call customer support and they will arrange for a return and refund.

Should Theobroma not ensure that their outlet serves fresh , good quality product to customers in the first place. Why should the customer have to go through the hassle of return and refund.

I pay high price for product. I receive poor quality/stale product I have to spend time and effort to return the bad product WHAT KIND OF...

The Theobroma outlet is both charming and aesthetically pleasing. They boast an extensive selection of desserts, ranging from delectable cakes to tempting brownies and cupcakes. Besides, their menu includes a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee and hot chocolates.

What's unique is that they even offer their own freshly baked bread, and I must say, their wheat sourdough loaf is a personal favorite of mine. The highlight here, though, is undoubtedly their famous brownies and hot chocolate.

I recently had the pleasure of trying their roasted chicken and mustard sandwich, and I can confidently say it was absolutely delicious.
