Bang on Cunningham Road is The Hatworks Boulevard, a beautiful 180 year old heritage colonial bungalow that houses a mixed development retail space for art, decor, fashion, and also a cafe with a very interesting name, Trippy Goat Cafe. When a bunch of like minded foodies decided to catch up, we ended up here on a warm Saturday afternoon and between loads of banter and interesting food, we began to love this place so as to make plans to visit with family. Here's the reason why, as we kickstarted the meal with Lettuce Wraps, where you can make your own wrap using the lettuce as the base, with options to add tossed kidney bean, some salas, jalapeños,sour cream (vegan) based on your preference, wrap it up to a nice chunky bite. I particularly loved the salsa, which was tangy and beautifully sour.

For drinks, I picked up the Trippy Cold Brew that was refreshing and delicious, it kept me going throughout the afternoon. Next on order were the mini Tacos, with an Indian twist of Kachampuli, tossed with Shitake and Oyster mushrooms with a topping of curry mayo. The soft tacos were a refreshing change, and the tanginess from kachampuli on the meaty mushrooms were one that brought a beautiful balance.

For mains, the four of us decided to order a couple of pizzas and a pasta to share. And the Trippy Goat's signature Bura-gherita pizza was our goto choice to kickstart. It was essentially a Margherita pizza with burrata cheese, I loved this well made thin crust pizza, the sauce was killer with creamy burrata elevating the simplicity of margherita.

As a stark opposite, the second pizza that we ordered was an overloaded, Mulberry Veggie. It was a good mix of delicious vegetables on a cheese bed, and the highlight was the caramelised onion jam (I think) that added a delicious sweet hit to this wonderful pizza, though personally I preferred the margherita slightly better.

Feeling that urge to try something more, since we have been loving the food that was arriving so far, we decided with a Fettuccine pasta that was tossed in miso, aglio-olio With shiitake mushrooms and parmesan water. A delicious fusion that I loved, simply yet bursting with delicious flavours.

To end it all, we ordered two desserts to share among the four, and my recommendation was to go with an affogato and my popular choice was the Opera cake. The Affogato was fantastic, with strong hot coffee poured over a delicious cold ice cream scoop.

The Opera cake was at its best with decadent layers of almond flour cake and coffee.

It was a great meal, from start to finish, with great service in a fabulous cafe setting under a tree, this places lives up to the delicious expectations that we had, and it delivers beautifully...

We go to one of the cafés for breakfast every weekend as part of our routine. This time we decided to visit this trippy goat on a Saturday morning post our walk at cubbon park.

The place is looks amazing and it hosts beautiful outdoor seating arrangement which’s got perfect vibe for Bengaluru’s early morning weather.

We occupied one of the tables after scanning through both indoors and outdoors seating arrangements.

Being a pure vegetarian, I was looking something labelled with green symbol on the menu, as usual it had a limited items for vegetarians so it didn’t take longer time for me to decide- I chose tomato pesto ricotta on toast.

My friends did order truffles brekkie with fries and Ros omelette. We also ordered blue pea iced tea and coffee along with our breakfast.

The tomato pesto ricotta was delicious, it did taste refreshing. It was light on the pallet as well as on the stomach. The seasoned tomatoes really did elevate the dish, but the side salad could have been better, it was too basic.

The ros omelette looked gorgeous with its beautiful orange hue,an omelette dipped in a tasteful gravy, my friend said it did taste good.

The truffles breakfast had many elements in it which made the dish look colourful, I did taste French fries from the plate. They did taste amazing. Perfect crisp, perfect length and golden yellow color.

Along with these 2 breakfast my friends did order sourdough bread. One friend with Ros omelette ate it completely and the other friend with truffles didn’t even touch it.

The blue pea iced is really a perfect option, it adds colors to your pictures. The purple shade really did elevate the aesthetics of our table.

The coffees my friends did order with different combinations of beans n machine it’s used. Now they don’t remember what were they. But I m sure they did enjoy the coffees.

Even though we did reach at 10am, it was quite peaceful and spent good 3 hours in the cafe.

If you are looking for a calm and slow mornings, it’s one of the nice place to visit for early morning breakfast, the prices are bit heavy on the pockets but it’s worth visiting...

They have a decent selection of wines stored at the right temperature and one of the few places that knows to use a decanter.

While the food is good, but quite expensive. The place is small and the interior needs work. This seems to be a wine store converted to a cafe/ restaurant as an after thought.

The overall experience was hampered by this bizarre staff attitude to adamently refuse to give us a table outside even after booking. They insisted that a large table outside which was the only decent place to sit in the restaurant was reserved for a regular set of 8 customers whose names they did not know and who were waited on like celebrities cause even after waiting for 1 /2 hour for them they refused to let go of the reservation!

It was only when I reached one of the owners on my own, ( the staff refused to entertain my request for his number) did he ask them to divide the table and allow us 4 to sit outside.

We had our meal and drinks till 4 p.m. but these celebrities never came. Why would the restaurant have such poor conditions inside and reserve outside available tables in such an expensive cafe??

The staff kept giving lip service to this disservice and refused to budge even after we had waited and told them we would leave.

Extremely poor experience with service at this price.
