Read moreEden park few years ago was a best restaurant with good food, service & ambience. It was my family's favourite diner & were disappointed when they shut it during covid. It's reopened recently with a makeover, we were elated to visit. Hence decided to go for a Sunday lunch to celebrate my parents' wedding anniversary. We reached der at 2pm and the restaurant was full as expected. Waited for 40 minutes to get a table for 4 of us still we weren't attended. My dad was hungry hence I went inside to look out for the manager in the meanwhile found an empty table myself & informed the manager about it then we were given d same table by adjusting some chairs. There was no cutlery nor water bottle provided despite requesting many times. Finally we were given a QR code to scan the menu & again after 15 mins we got to place an order. Thankfully 1 starter kalmi kabab was given after 10 mins & later soup was given. Thereafter for each dish we had to repeatedly so many times ask the waiters request them and then they wud get one dish at a time. Veg spring roll, hot & sour soup, paneer biriyani, kalmi kabab were good but not great in taste. We ordered 2 mutton biriyanis too which they said is available. But despite waiting for almost 1 hour we were not served. I called the person who took our order and asked him is there a problem bcz it had been an hour and my parents were waiting for d food. It was 4pm and finally d person who took order told us mutton biryani is not available. We were so disappointed wid them, our family lunch on an anniversary celebration was ruined. We paid d bill and went to another restaurant to have main course. Utterly disappointed! People who have seen this place on insta reels and planning to visit, please avoid. Only...
Read moreThe Eden Park Restaurant, on Cunningham road, behind The Hindu's office, is one of those many places that would sound like a good decision, only if you are walking in drunk enough, or if you're walking in to get drunk. They have tried to build a nice ambiance and let you have dinner in the lap of nature, and under the stars, and all that right in the heart of the city. On paper, sounds like a solid plan. But on a Bangalore March evening, it just sums up to be a dimly lit, mosquito infested hot mess. The waiting time for everything is beyond unreasonable - for someone to come and wipe the table that you have armed yourself at, then someone to come and give the menu QR, then someone to bring you drinking water, then for the food, and finally keeping up with the theme, firstly for someone to bring the bill, and an even longer wait for someone to come for the payment. All in all leading up to some quiet introspection about who is waiting on whom? The food did not disappoint to disappoint. We ordered Chicken Kolhapuri, but it seemed that neither the Chef nor the dish had ever been anywhere near Kolhapur. We've had experiences where garlic naans didn't live up to the garlicky bit, but were good as standalone naans. Well, not here. The fresh lime soda and the 2 onion slices as salad were good. All in all, a pretty disappointing experience, for quite a fair amount of money. The next time you choose to dine at Eden Park,...
