Worst! It was one of the first experiences, The restaurant is very unprofessional...
Me and my team used to zomato from this place often, and the food was always okay, for once (vinash kaale vipreet buddhi) we decided to actually dine-in at the restaurant itself. we reached there sometime around late evening and found out the restaurant does not have it's own parking space, The staff very rudely said we don't care where you park to one of my employee, which I later found out, we somehow manage to park our vehicles in the area and went inside the restaurant, the ambience was pretty cheap and unhygienic and first impressions were disappointing, still we decided to give the food a benefit of doubt, we thought "atleast the food is good here", We placed our order and I excused myself to the reception desk to ask for the restroom, to my surprise this place didn't even had a restroom even after being situated at one of the prime location, the manager told me go out side and use the "open area" behind the restaurant which I angrily refused and went back to sit at my table, shocked and confused, rechecking if this is the same restaurant we use to order from, laughing at the wierd scenario, that we came across, and the food arrived. and with it our biggest disappointment, they served the food cold, when I touched the bread, it was previously baked turn cold and rubbery bread, I was furious, I immediately called the table attendent and complained about it, in return he said they are not baking breads at this hour, and the cold bread is all they could serve, and if we want fresh hot bread we need to switch to a different type of bread. When I refuced to accept it, the man replied " Yahi milega, aap dekh lo kya karna hai" and then he met our bad side, resulting in finally serving us freshly baked bread of our own choice. but I would never suggest anyone ever to visit this restaurant ever, and neither am I ordering any food after seeing the unhygienic and unprofessional restaurant, If they are this bas at what is visible. just think in what mess might they be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis would be 1st in the rank of all inedible foods ever tasted by me... Butter chicken?? more like chicken murdered by drowning it into a bucket of lemon juice. This dish was so astonishingly sour than lemon itself will shy away from it. The chicken? compare it to a "lost n found" 4-month-old chicken from the back of the freezer behind the ice trays.
It's not that we didn't order anything else, we ordered methi malai kofta, Kaju curry the gravies of both were so identical that one could have played "bujho to Jaane" with it guaranteed to lose in the game. Taste? - well if you can imagine malai with just salt.
Dal Tadka - Had tadka more than the dal..we had to throw away half of it because it was filled with oil.
chicken lollipop - deep-fried hard oily thing on a stick. They have taken the word lollipop quite literally.
The only good thing roomali roti which we used as "rumal" after having a bite of that gravy.
I ordered from Hakeem after almost 7 years & it has surprised me in ways no other restaurant would.
Bottom line - The worst food in Bhopal!!! Do I hope that it will get better? I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have visited Hakeem's Restaurant, CPA Building, Bitthan Market, E-5 Arera Colony, Bhopal Many times. There is another Hakeem's Restaurant in MP Nagar Zone 2 which is also very popular but I visited there twice. Both are part of same chain.
If you visit Bhopal and ask any general Bhopali resident on the road that you want to enjoy non veg food and where I will get. I bet you will get the answer Hakeem's restaurant. This restaurant was first established in New Market as per the discussion I had with hotel manager Mr. Jayant. Established in 1971 as a small Kiosk it has become a chain of Restaurants in Bhopal. But nowadays there are so many Hakeem's in Bhopal but only this one situated at Bitten Market, and one other in MP Nagar Zone-2 are the most preferred. You can enjoy original Mughalai And Indian taste here. You will find vegetarian food also but Hakeem's is famous for its Non Veg items especially... Seekh Kababs, variety of Mutton and chicken curry, with Tanduri and Rumali roti, Bryani etc. a must visit place if you...
