Nestled in the heart of the city, the Giant Panda Restaurant offers an immersive culinary journey through the flavors of Asia. From the moment you step inside, the ambiance transports you to a tranquil oasis, with subtle bamboo accents and soft lighting creating an inviting atmosphere.
Ambiance: The restaurant's décor strikes a perfect balance between modern elegance and traditional charm. Bamboo partitions lend a sense of privacy to each table, while soft instrumental music gently fills the air, enhancing the dining experience without overpowering conversation.
Service: Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the staff and promptly seated. Throughout the meal, the service remained attentive yet unobtrusive, with servers readily available to offer recommendations or accommodate any special requests.
Cuisine: The culinary highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the exquisite array of Asian dishes. From delicate dim sum to savory stir-fries, each dish showcased fresh, high-quality ingredients expertly prepared to perfection. Notably, the chicken, fish, and rice dishes we sampled were bursting with flavor, reflecting the restaurant's commitment to authenticity and culinary excellence.
Chicken Dish: The chicken dish, tender and succulent, was infused with aromatic spices and served alongside crisp vegetables in a tantalizing sauce. Each bite was a harmonious blend of savory and subtle sweetness, leaving us craving for more.
Fish Dish: Equally impressive was the fish dish, featuring perfectly seared fillets drizzled with a delicate sauce infused with hints of ginger and soy. The fish, flawlessly cooked to retain its natural juiciness, melted in the mouth, leaving a lingering umami sensation that delighted the palate.
Rice Dishes: Complementing the main courses were the fragrant rice dishes, expertly seasoned and cooked to fluffy perfection. Whether paired with the savory chicken or delicate fish, the rice served as a comforting staple that elevated each bite to...
Read moreI’ve been a loyal, repeat, whatever-you-wanna call it, customer of The Giant Panda Restaurant in Bhopal for years now, and I’m always excited to visit whenever I’m in the city.
This time, we decided to grab a quick bite while we were shopping at DB Mall. We ordered a few of their specialties, and let me tell you, they were all absolutely delicious!
We started with the Chicken Thai Herbs dim sum. It was a delightful combination of basil chicken dim sum with a sweet and spicy Thai herbed sauce. The soft texture and flavour were simply heavenly.
Next, we tried the Veggie Thai-style spring rolls. They were crispy on the outside and filled with a refreshing mix of vegetables. They were a great side dish to our main course.
For our main course, we opted for the veggie Udon Noodles. These thick Japanese wheat noodles were tossed with sesame seeds and fried garlic. They were so tasty and comforting.
Now, I’m not a big sushi fan, but I noticed that they seem to have a wide variety of sushi options for those who enjoy it.
As for drinks, we tried the Mango Spicy and Grape Fruit Berry Lemonade. The Mango Spicy was a refreshing balance of sweet and spicy, while the GFB Lemonade was a delightful combination of sour, bitter, and sweet.
The ambience at The Giant Panda restaurant has remained pretty much the same over the years. It’s a warm and inviting place that feels like a cozy little family restaurant. While it’s a great place to grab a bite, I do think they could consider updating the decor a bit to keep things fresh and exciting.
Overall, I had a wonderful experience at The Giant Panda Restaurant. If you’re ever in Bhopal, I highly recommend...
Read moreAmbience: Good place for dining along with comfortable seating and amazing interior. But Music was missing.
Location: Located in Heart of the City i.e. inside DB Mall at 3rd floor beside Pitchers lounge.
Service: Overall good service and the manager knows about the dishes they serve so you can order according to his recommendation.
Food: We ordered Tom Yum Soup and 4 Seasons veg Dim sum.
Tom Yum Soup: Costly (289 INR) as per the price but as per the portion and taste, I liked it. But, Worth the price.
4 Seasons Veg Dim sum: Costly (335 INR). Not worth the price. Only 6 pieces were given in a traditional Chinese way i.e. inside a round bamboo steamer. The pieces were like momos size and shape i.e. small and the fillings is also not satisfying.
However, in traditional dimsums the size is a bit bigger in size and shape should be round with very thin layer of coating outside with loads of filling inside. Which is missing. Not worth the price.
Water Bottle: Costly (60 INR). They can serve Himalayan water from Bisleri in this amount but serving own brand water bottle (which i think seems local) with 60 Rs. as MRP is not worth.
Overall, good place if you want to go in a fancy South Asian Restaurant in Bhopal for dining with a bit overpriced menu. You can try Soups and other things whose portion is good once.
But make sure you don't try dimsums or else you'll be disappointing Cannot be a go to place for...
