Grand Kalinga Restaurant — Restaurant in Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation

Visited this place for dinner. Located on the road towards niladri vihar. While coming from kalinga hospital square, one after passing Bharat petroleum pump on the left side,take the left turn just after it towards niladri vihar. Move for 200 meters and this place is on your left,on a elevated area. It's just before the slope where the road goes down and before kaka da minar and taste of china restaurant. It's just next to AGMO supermarket. If coming from damana side,one has to take a U turn before tanishq showroom on the left,then cross petrol pump and turn left towards niladri vihar. If coming from niladri vihar side then one must take the U turn after climbing the slope also passing kaka da minar and taste of china on your right. After making the turn,this restuarant is on your left. Taking about the interior,not a big sitting space but can accommodate 30 people. Decorations are okay with decent view and big lord ganesha statue is there,left to the entrance when one enters. Taking about food,we ordered- veg and chicken manchow soup,bali fish,tandoori roti,plain roti,masala kulcha,chicken, andveg keema masala masala. Total bill was Rs 1586. As I am a vegetarian I ordered the vegetarian food and I like the food,the veg keema masala was good,little spicy which I liked. The behaviour of staffs were very nice. Service was good too. The only minus point was they didn't have a card machine so one has to pay by phonepe or cash. That seemed odd considering a restaurant normally most people don't carry much cash. UPI option is the other way which helps. Also they have an indian style toilet which is uncommon in most restaurants but I didn't have any...

One of the oldest restaurant in this part of the city. I had a lot of memories in this restaurant. During my college days, me and my friends used to visit this restaurant frequently. The food here was delicious as well as cheaper. Whether it was a get-together or any kind of celebration "Grand Kalinga" was our first preference. But with changing time, we all moved to different cities for our careers and this restaurant also went through modifications. Bhut after 7-8 years, this month I visited here with my friend fo dinner. The atmosphere here was nostalgic for us as it was full of good memories. Like earlier they have kept their menu simple with Indian and Chinese food only to order. Upon entering the restaurant you will find the reception table and a large idol of Lord Ganesh in front of it on the opposite wall. Along with common dining space, private family dining chambers are also available. Ambience was like any other restaurant you will find im the city. But they have maintained the simplicity. Now lets talk about the food. We ordered Veg hakka noodles with lemon chicken, veg manchurian. In the drinks section we had masala soda and mojito. Overall the food quality and quantity were decent. There is nothing to complain about. Manchurian was spicy and lemon chicken had flavor of sweetness with spiciness added to it. Noodles was well prepared with paneer and vegetable like carrot bell pepper and many more. The combination of manchurian to it was just awesome. Service was fast and you will get very less waiting time after ordering the food. Overall it was well spent...

Hello everyone.. Thank you for supporting me and giving so many views to my reviews😀 So I have 2 best friends and Grand Kalinga is the place we go when we are hungry ..the best place with reasonable and affordable price with the tastiest food you can eat..

The place will make you feel like you are at home and the customer service is always good..they will make sure you have a good time there with good food.. There are many dish available .. But I would go with our favourites .. As starters most recommended is the "chicken lollypop" ,you must have tried it at many different places but chicken lollypop at Grand Kalinga is a must try ..They also serve good dishes of prawn as starters which are delicious too..😋... And there are many delicious food available ,please come and know yourself 🤗

Now the main course has many contents .. I wish I had the menu to post here but you can find it on google I suppose.. But I would recommend the best main course.. Try the MASALA KULCHA and RESHMI MALAYI CHICKEN which is tender juicy and has a white gravy which is heavenly.. They have other great dishes too.. But Its our favourites and we are sure you guys would love it.. GO FOR IT..

They also have the facilities where you can have birthday party celebrations or any wedding related celebrations
