Bihar Se by Panshe
We recently visited Bihar Se by Panshe, curious about its take on regional cuisine. The experience was a mix of good and average, with certain aspects standing out while others left room for improvement.
Food:
We ordered Kadhai Ke Karishme and Dal-e-Panashe, which, despite their fancy names, were essentially mix veg korma and dal makhani. The presentation was decent, and the taste was fine—neither disappointing nor exceptional. If you’re expecting something unique or different, you might be underwhelmed, as the flavors were quite standard and similar to what you’d get at any other restaurant serving North Indian cuisine. The spice levels were balanced, making it a safe choice for all palates.
Service & Waiting Time:
This was one of the biggest drawbacks. It took around 40-45 minutes for our food to arrive, which felt excessive, especially since the restaurant wasn’t packed. If you’re visiting, be prepared for a longer wait, which might not be ideal if you’re hungry or short on time.
Ambiance & Atmosphere:
The restaurant’s vibe is quite traditional, but not in a stylish or nostalgic way—it felt a bit old-fashioned and lacked the warmth or modern aesthetics that many contemporary diners offer. The lighting, decor, and overall setting seemed a little outdated. However, it works well for family dining, as the environment is calm and comfortable for groups. If you’re looking for a lively or Instagrammable space, this may not be it.
Overall Verdict:
✔ Pros: Decent food, family-friendly atmosphere. ✖ Cons: Long waiting time, average taste, lacks a modern or fresh vibe.
It’s a decent option if you’re looking for a simple meal with family and don’t mind waiting. However, if you’re expecting exceptional food or a unique experience, this place might not leave a...

Dining at Bihar Se was not just a meal — it was a soulful journey through the vibrant culture and flavors of Bihar. From the moment I walked in, I was enveloped in warmth, tradition, and an unmistakable sense of pride in heritage.
The hospitality was truly exceptional. Every member of the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, but a special mention must go to Mr. Prem, the manager, whose gracious presence and attention to detail elevated the entire experience. His passion for Bihari culture shines through in every corner of the restaurant — from the decor to the service, and of course, the food.
What makes Bihar Se stand out is how beautifully it carries the soul of Bihar in its hospitality. I recently visited Bihar Se restaurant, located near the Income Tax Golambar inside the Planetarium, and I had mixed experiences.
The ambience is fantastic, with a large seating area and a spacious platform that can be used for events like shows or birthday celebrations. It’s perfect for gatherings.
We visited in a group of two and ordered a variety of items:
Laccha Paratha (₹65)
Peas Pulav (₹165)
Cold Drink (₹40)
Boondi Raita (₹55)
Chicken Satay (6 pieces, ₹395)
Dum Ka Murgh (4 pieces, ₹415)
The total cost, including service charge and GST, came to ₹1433.
While the Laccha Paratha made from atta was quite good, the starter (chicken satay) didn’t meet expectations—it could have been better in terms of flavor. The chicken in the Dum Ka Murgh was decent, but not extraordinary.
One major downside was the long waiting time; we had to wait over 30 minutes for the starter to arrive. Additionally, there was no separate plate provided for starters, and they didn’t replace the plates when serving the main course, which is a bit of an inconvenience.
In terms of pricing, I’d say it’s on the higher side, and the taste was just okay. If they could improve on service time and plate hygiene, it could be a much...
