Headed here for lunch. It's quite and cozy but gets crowded fast. There are two areas for seating and the exterior one (not outdoor) seemed to be less crowded. The location is exactly where it is on Google maps but the actual enterance is a bit further from the location, to the right of Tim's Bistro. You enter and walk all the way to the back. The average cost of a dish is around 400 so you might want to not go here if you can't afford it like some of the reviewers.
The place looked amazing and I loved the urban feel to it. Unlike some (if not most) places where a pair of two are usually given seats somewhere in a far-of cramped corner, we actually had great seats.
The staff were friendly and the food came quickly. Didn't order much because we weren't particularly hungry and that was a good thing because the portions we're quite huge for a single person. Both food and drink tasted great (except my friends drink, too sour)! The lasagne that I had was the best that I have tasted in a long time. I was actually able to have a conversation with my friend during our meal because the music was low enough. Overall one of my most enjoyable meals at a restaurant. It's a pity I don't live in coimbatore to be able to visit here often.
One thing I didn't like was that the waiter asked me if he could serve me. Before I could replied, he had already stuck a spoon into my lasagne. I wasnt able to take a proper photo because of this. Maybe only stick the spoon in IF the customer replies yes? I know I'm nitpicking but I need photos of food for my Instagram and that is the whole point of me visiting different restaurants. I know I'm of the 1 percent who do this but it wouldn't hurt to damage the foods beauty unless the...
Read moreWe went with family to On the Go, Coimbatore after a long gap of 8 years to celebrate a special event with high hopes based on our past experience. But we were disappointed on several levels. The chicken biryani and the bolognese lasagna were too spicy and lacked flavor - who puts large peppercorns in bolognese sauce? The tomato basil soup was also thick like chutney with whole onion chunks; the bread served with it was dry and tasteless. The garlic bread served as starter was totally unworthy of the charged restaurant tariff - we could have just broken some bread at home and had a better snack. The malali chicken kebab was however excellent - soft, succulent and tasted just right. The ambience of the place is still good and the cleanliness maintained is appreciable. Being a fine dining restaurant, we do expect a better level of service from the attending staff - an offer to serve the food, refilling water bottles without having to constantly wave our hands in the air and a genuine enquiry about how we found the food. All these were lacking in the restaurant - maybe we just expected too much from them. I wish the management could take the feedback as a tool to improve...
Read moreI have been a regular person dining at that place since college days till now with the family of four but my recent experience with the place wasn’t good at all . Firstly this place needs a serious renovation, there is literally house flies everywhere, one fell on my pasta and the manager didn’t care to apologise, we usually come there for mud soufflé, but the quality ha become so less over the years & price had hit sky rocket !! ….
The place no more cares about hosting and hospitality, it’s all about money. Was even sadder to see a set of college people were not allowed to sing birthday song for their fellow mate as it would disturb the other people and they left the place without having food !!! I mean who does that !! Imagine how hard it would Have been for them to save money and eat at such place to b honest??
I hv no complaints about food , never in all these year but now it lacks everything else , cleanliness, hospitality, a bare minimum decency to address the...
