I visited this place yesterday for Karwa Chauth as we couldnāt find anywhere else to eat. Upon entering, I immediately noticed a large mouse running around the restaurant. We sat down quickly and ordered dal makhni, paneer, and chapati, wanting to leave as soon as possible. It took over half an hour for the food to arrive, despite the restaurant being managed by only two elderly waiters who were working at their own pace. By the time we received our food, most of the restaurant was empty as other diners had finished and left.
To add to the frustration, a lady nearby was watching Reels on full volume, making it impossible for my wife and me to have a conversation. The food quality was terribleāpaneer was rubbery, and the dal tasted like it had no tadka. While we were still eating, the same lady turned off the AC and some of the lights, which felt like an indirect way of telling us to leave. But we had already ordered their so-called "special" tandoori chai, so we stayed.
When our chai finally arrived, after finishing our meal, it turned out to be neither tandoori chai nor even regular teaāit tasted awful, like dishwater. To top it off, the waiter began clearing our table while we were still drinking, and dropped the bill on the table as if rushing us out. To add insult to injury, the bill charged us for 8 rotis when we only had 6. I asked the waiter about the tandoori chai, and he insisted it was what we ordered, which cost us ā¹99. The food was extremely overpriced, and the entire experience was horrendous.
I would never recommend this place to anyoneāitās one of the worst in Chandigarh. Poor quality, bad service, and zero manners.
Also, outside the restaurant, there was a liquor shop where people were fighting and shouting, which was just the cherry on top of this miserable experience.
Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place if you value your self-respect.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreAn old school restaurant with a comforting and nostalgic vibe. Stepping in this place feels as if a time machine has just transported you to your childhood. Music is mostly instrumental classic Bollywood. The service is a bit slow. But the food more than makes up for it. Delicious comfort food with wonderfully balanced flavours and great portion size. Reasonably priced too. Also, the chaat stall outside just adds to its charm. I have inexplicably loved this place ever since I...

FYI aloo tikki which you can have 1- tikki chaat @80/- from their outside corner, you have to pay 120/- when you are going to have it on the table inside the restaurant, but it is absolutely Worth it as you will be getting 2-Tikki Special Chaat and moreover, the ambience, air-conditioning, and...
