Horrendous Experience – Avoid Corby’s at All Costs!
If I could give this place zero stars, I would. My visit to Corby’s was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. We ordered the buffet for two, expecting at least decent service and edible food, but what we got was pure disappointment.
The service was atrocious. The staff showed zero interest in attending to us, and our servers kept changing throughout the meal. None of them had the slightest clue about the menu or the dishes being served. When we asked basic questions, they either gave vague responses or outright admitted they didn’t know. If you’re running a restaurant, the least you can do is train your staff properly!
Now, let’s talk about the food—if you can even call it that. Every single dish was pathetic. The Tacos were an absolute disaster, with raw, undercooked shells that were inedible. The calzone was so dry it felt like chewing on cardboard. Even the Indian main course, which should have been their saving grace, was a complete disaster—bland, poorly prepared, and impossible to eat. And just when we thought it couldn’t get worse, we were served a slice of chocolate cake that was clearly stale and tasted days old.
There was absolutely nothing redeeming about this experience. Horrible service, disgusting food, and a complete waste of money. If you care about your time, money, and taste buds, do yourself a favor and stay far away...
Read moreOn a vibrant evening in Chandigarh, Corby’s at the Hyatt Centric stands out not just as a hotel restaurant, but as a dynamic culinary space that’s constantly reinventing itself. Unlike most all-day diners, Corby’s thrives on innovation, regularly hosting themed food pop-ups that turn a regular dinner into a curated experience. Whether it's an evening of rustic Rajasthani fare or authentic Italian indulgence, the space feels less like a hotel restaurant and more like a revolving door to different corners of the food world.
One standout event which I had recently attended was their Farm to Table – Mharo Khet festival, a refreshing departure from standard buffet fare. The ingredients were sourced directly from local farms, and the dishes felt deeply rooted in the land — earthy, wholesome, and unapologetically simple. The food served did capture the spirit of slow, conscious eating. It was less about polished plating and more about flavor that told a story- the kind you rarely expect to find in a luxury setting.
Such pop-up at Corby’s feels like a mini escape-thoughtfully crafted, often chef-led, and full of character. It is this commitment to diversity and authenticity that makes Corby’s more than just a dining venue- it is certainly a culinary passport within the heart of Chandigarh....
Read moreWe celebrated my wife’s birthday at the Corby’s Hyatt Centric, Chandigarh & it turned out to be a wonderful experience. Right from making a family table booking with Bhavna, who not just explained courteously about the multi-cuisine restaurant & its ambience but also went ahead to arrange a complimentary delicious birthday cake for my wife. The restaurant was a very lively & welcoming place. Perfectly lit up & beautifully arranged. The experience was further stepped up by the hospitality of restaurant manger, a very humble, polite & dignified guy, Aatish. And a special word of appreciation for our attendant, an extremely concerned & caring guy, Nikhil, who stayed on his toes the entire time & served us in a excellent manner. And, a special mention to the heavenly tasting food by Chef Harish, who specially came over to meet & greet us & joined us in the celebration. Great work by the entire team & thank you guys for giving us a wholesome & memorable...
