Visited Nando's at Elante Mall today and experience was wonderful. They have followed all safety precautions which includes:
At the times of Covid-19 we are always thinking of whether we should go out or not but Nando's made me believe that anything can be done if proper precautions are taken. We can enjoy with family and that too with proper safety and hygiene.
Now coming on to the dishes:
Food was amazing and delicious, service was prompt and specially staff was very courteous and thanks to Mr Rakesh Lohat for making this experience a memorable one.
First we ordered two drinks which were:
Citrus Bliss- It consisted of refreshing mint syrup, grapefruit juice and sprite and fresh mint. It was orange in color and was really refreshing.
Madeira Red- It is a Pomegranate lemonade made with sprite and served with a sugary rim. It is beautiful red color and is truly amazing with pieces of pomegranate seeds in it.
Then we ordered:
Creamy Cashew Chicken Naan- Chicken pieces were there in a cashew nut and tomato sauce and size of pieces was really good. Grated mozzarella, fresh onion and Coriander really added flavours to that. Overall a really tasty dish.
1/2 peri peri chicken+ 1 regular side in which we got coleslaw salad and fries on the side. There was a choice of sauces for peri peri chicken and it was really a good thing that it was available for people with every kind of taste. From mild to extremely spicy, whatever you wish for. I liked garlic one the best.
Last but not the least: Dessert
Ambiance was really amazing and will definitely visit again. If you are here in Elante do visit them and also they have some exciting offers also,You can ask the staff over there, they will guide you...
Read moreThis is a late review, because I left a review on Nando's own website and expected a response, however they didn't in nearly a month.
FOOD - The food was how any average Joe would make it, and with Nando's sauces selling off the shelf too, I'd suggest saving your time and money.
SEERVICE - The service was absolutely horrendous. The waiters are ridiculously inefficient, the manager walks around doing absolutely nothing except chatting with people on the floor, and any requests you make will take no less than 10 minutes to address.
I had to ask the staff twice before they brought me a glass of water, and though I'd specifically asked for cold water or water with ice, it was regular temperature - and I asked for some ice. I then had to continue to ask for ice 3 more times before they gave it to me, around 13 minutes later.
Once my order arrived, I wanted some garlic sauce, which was lying on a table not far from me. However, someone was seated there so I couldn't take it myself. I asked three different waiters at least 4 times to either pass me the sauce from that table, or bring me another bottle from storage/the kitchen and that too took over 15 minutes, by when I'd almost finished my food anyway.
ATMOSPHERE - While I know this doesn't refer to the literal atmosphere, I can't help but write about the terrible air conditioning. I was seated at the end of the restaurant furthest away from the kitchen, and there was little to no air conditioning. Now I get that the Elante Mall itself is partly to blame here as they have been trying to save aircon bills and only run them effectively on the first two floors - but it's the restaurant owner's job to ensure their customers get the best dining experience possible - without having to sweat all through it
Might try a different Nando's in a different city someday, though it's certainly overpriced and not worth it - but I'd advise everyone to never visit the outlet at Elante if they care about...
Read moreBeing a vegetarian I was of the belief that Nando’s was not for me. However I have always appreciated their Peri Peri sauces and dips. When a friend recommended me to try their African and Portuguese cuisine I decided to give it a try. I visited during lunch time on the weekend and the place was packed. The staff was extremely courteous and arranged a table for me as soon as they could. They helped me decide what to eat considering that there are relatively lesser choices for vegetarians at Nando’s. I ended up ordering a Veggie Burger with Peri Peri Chips, Cashew Nut Veg Espetada with Coleslaw and Peri veg naan. The burger was very soft and full of yummy flavors. The espetada was made with Paneer, Bell Peppers and Zucchini. It was so very good that I couldn’t believe something so good existed and I had never tasted it before. The paneer in it itself had a sweet flavor that I have never tasted earlier. Loved this to bits. The Peri veg Nan was a unique dish. It was a Nan with topping of chickpeas and lentils marinated in yoghurt. In a way it had all the ingredients of a traditional Indian meal with breads, chickpeas, lentils and even curd. However, the treatment and flavors were absolutely unique. It was huge and quite filling. A unique and enjoyable dish indeed. For dessert I tried the Creamy Cheesecake and it was one of the best cheesecakes ever. It had a mild flavor and the proper cheesecake texture. Overall, my Nando’s experience was a super one. I loved every bit of it and I enjoyed looking at the kids refilling their bottomless cold drinks from the dispensers. The staff and the ambiance are all good and the vibe of the place is actually very fun. With the new menu additions, now vegetarians like me can enjoy...
