Panacottas — Restaurant in Chandigarh

We both had the eggs benedict and we also ordered the "Canadian Pancake." At first, I had to send my eggs back, as the egg white was not properly cooked, still runny in places, and I wanted my poached eggs to be medium firm. The second time they were perfectly cooked, which can be tricky to do with poached eggs, but the chef did a VERY good job. The toast, hash browns, salad and buns were excellent. It was a very nice detail to make garlic toast, we really liked that with the eggs. As for the Canadian pancake, we were disappointed that the maple syrup is not real maple syrup, only the corn syrup substitute. 😟. And I feel that the whipped cream on top of the pancakes was not 100% cream, it tasted a bit like some kind of cream substitute like "dream whip." But the pancake itself and berries were very good. My Tiramisu Cappuccino was VERY good. The pastries and bakery items looked very nice so we will definitely come back to try them. The bathroom was basically clean, but had a very strong odour of either an unfortunate choice of aromatherapy or cleaning product that I did not like the smell of. I would recommend a much fresher scent like mint, lemongrass or rose. I feel that it good use a good scrubbing up and down of the bathroom in case the odour is from something else? Also, the furniture and decor is VERY beautiful but, over time the sofas and chairs have become dirty and need deep cleaning. But we loved the food quality and the choices so we will be back. Avoid this place.

We used to be regular visitors at Pannacotta, especially for breakfast, and occasionally for lunch or dinner. A couple of months ago, the food was great—authentic, reasonably priced, and served in a decent ambience. The staff was courteous, and despite the place often being empty, we kept coming back because of the quality.

However, our recent visit was a complete disappointment. We ordered their classic breakfast platter and a cheese omelette, both of which were subpar. The omelette barely had any cheese, and the breakfast platter had significantly deteriorated in both taste and quality. Worse, the restaurant had a strong unpleasant odor, and we were the only customers there. The two individuals preparing the food did not appear to be professional chefs, which reflected in the meal.

The broccoli served was stale, and the bread was deep-fried and far from fresh. The food quality was so poor that we had to leave more than half of it untouched. To top it off, the coffee—priced at ₹300—was mediocre at best. Frankly, we make better coffee at home with instant coffee.

It’s clear that the management is no longer invested in maintaining the standards of this place. If things continue this way, Pannacotta is on a downward spiral. We wouldn’t...

This cake shop is extremely over hyped & in no way stands up to the apparent reputation.

The person attending kept on saying “Sorry mam this is not available aap please Kuch Aur try karlo but Kuch Aur try karo toh Woh bhi nahi tha menu mein.” I wanted to try only those dishes that werent available In any other cafe but in this one but my visit to this restaurant left me flustered as to why did I even come here?

Whosoever is reading this review, imagine you’re famished - you go to a fancy patisserie shop - attired in your best clothes - choose your table & whatever you order is not available and to this all your hear is sorry? What a perfect evening would it be. Isn’t it?
