It is for the head of sector 17 Sindhi:
There are a few issues that I would like to bring to your attention. Firstly, I was surprised to find that water was not included with the meal and that there was a separate charge for it. As a tourist, I was not aware of this and it would have been helpful if there had been a price tag on the water bottle or if the waiter had informed us of the charge. Secondly, I found it quite embarrassing when, upon checking out, a staff member came running after me to ask for an extra 30 rupees for the water bottle that I had used to fill my children's bottles. I understand that there may be a charge for this, but it would have been more appropriate to inform me of this at the time rather than waiting until I was leaving.
Thirdly, the meal was excessively salty, and the rasmalai was served plain without nuts. When we inquired about this, the manager informed us that it was due to Navratri. However, we were not observing the fast, and there was no prior notice or signage indicating that the food would be served according to Navratri restrictions.
The overall experience was misleading, and the service was unsatisfactory. I cannot recommend Sector 17 Sindhi due to its overpriced meals and untrained staff.
Reply to your explanation:
First of all we are thankful for the thoughts you had shared with us. Secondly, nowhere in Restaurant business packaged water bottle is included with the meal. Normally any customer asks it by his/her own if it is chargeable. And yes every bottle has price description on it.
Reply: As mentioned earlier, there was no price tag! As a visitor it should be clearly mentioned or bottle should not be kept on the table until the bottle actually ordered by the customer!
Secondly, pls let us know what you had in food which you found too salty so that we can recheck the recipe as we strictly follow recipe method for this.
Reply: we had kulcha channa, bhatura channa, plain dosa and ras malai
Thirdly , yes due to Navratri we are following certain basic rituals to maintain Satvik food quality. This is a good input & we will definitely explore the probability that how we can circulate this information to each & every
Reply: there should be a sign to indicate such thing. Not every one fast for your kind information.
customer Lastly , every floor has got a Manager on duty & if you face any such issue he’s fully authorised to assist you in the best possible manner I believe you’ll take this submission in a positive manner for your feedback given on this social platform
Reply: your whole staff needs training in...
Read moreIf you're craving a taste of traditional Sindhi sweets and snacks in Chandigarh, Sindhi Sweets might catch your eye with its inviting display and promise of authentic flavors. However, my recent visit left me pondering the true value behind the tempting facade.
Located in the bustling heart of Chandigarh, Sindhi Sweets greets you with a charming ambiance and a vast array of sweets, chaats, and snacks. The staff are courteous and quick to assist, adding to the initial positive impression. However, this is where the charm begins to fade upon closer inspection.
Despite the enticing presentation and friendly service, the prices at Sindhi Sweets are significantly inflated for what's on offer. The menu boasts a range of classic Indian sweets and savory items, but the taste and quality fail to justify the steep price tags attached. For instance, a plate of samosas or jalebis will cost you much more here compared to other local establishments serving similar fare of comparable quality.
One can't help but feel a sense of disappointment after indulging in what feels more like a marketing scheme than a culinary journey.
Moreover, the seating arrangements are basic, Given the prices being charged, one might expect a more refined dining environment.
In conclusion, Sindhi Sweets in Chandigarh is a place that promises a lot but falls short on delivery, especially considering the lofty prices. While the initial attraction may draw you in, be prepared for a somewhat underwhelming experience that might leave your wallet feeling lighter than your taste buds satisfied.
If you're seeking authentic flavors and good value for money, you're likely better off exploring some of the local eateries and sweet shops around Chandigarh that offer a more genuine taste of Sindhi cuisine without breaking the bank. A bedmi Puri plate costs 200 bucks with 3 puris and little chole and aloo ki sabzi and 3-4 pieces of...
Read moreSindhi has lost its charm serves low quality food and has high level of rude staff... Especially the new waiters. We have been going to Sindhi since childhood the old waiters are still highly humble and polite but the new ones are highly rude arogant and high on attitude. Our today experience was the worst I went to them for a take out order of stick kulfi which apparently is only available on the second floor, paid 189 for 3 and to my shock all of them were soure got back from car to report this ground floor has no attending manager to address this concern and I went to 1st floor the manager who didn't told me his name told me "kaha se bill katvya tha" to that I told him 2nd floor. Toh app 2nd floor jaiae he replied and literally the kulfi was melting and dripping from my hands when I told him the same he was courteous enough to ask a waiter to give a plate and escort us to 2nd floor till here everything was ok. On 2nd floor the manager was dumb he asked me to wait and he tasted the kulfi all though his face expression were clear that it was soure but he said it's fine then again he said me to wait and went off to find the manager the one which was on the first floor lols 😂... When I was asking the cashier ki kis ki wait karni hai humne in between comes a rude arrogant waiter who interrupted in between and said "inhe chod mera bill nikal" this made me furious when a customer is having a conversation with someone who the hell is he to interrupt in between.... And then when I said to him i. Am having a conversation with the cashier he said mein bill katvane aya hun, what kind of attitude is this..... Firstly you are serving low quality food that could have made me and my family sick 2 of them are senior citizens and to top it ur waiters are interrupting a normal conversation!!!! My simple suggestion to Team Sindhi and the owner is give ur NEW staff training how to converse with ur...
