Hotel Jullundur 18 — Hotel in Chandigarh

I got booking at hotel jullundhar via referral from city heart premium as they denied my direct booking due to mismanagement.

Upon negotiation with reception guy I managed to cut down tariff to Rs 2500/ smaller size room. Jullundhar 18 had also its own set of flaws- (1) Ac was centrally controlled and at times they used to switch off same on their own which I had to request to be switched on multiple times. (2) While checkout at morning next day, there was only staff who was sleeping and disagreed to arrange luggage checkout from room stating that he is alone and can't leave counter. I managed to myself being luggage to lift and bring down same to counter. (3) Also they added fake food bill to my final checkout amount which I had not even consumed.

Here is a fair review:

1. Hotel is filthy, dirty and unmaintained. Rooms’ wallpapers are coming off. Bathrooms are very dirty with black greasy corners and dirt settles on shelves. Ac vents are visible with giant holes in the roof. Room lights are flickering and very dim. Washroom lights are even dimmer. Maybe to hide the condition of washroom and the room. Overall your mood will be spoilt the moment you step into the room. And remember we paid 4000 for this room.
2. Service was nice. The guy at the reception waited for us even though we checked in very late and talked nicely.
3. location is nice - close to most interesting places in Chandigarh.

I travelled from Haridwar to Chandigarh but it would have taken me longer to stay overnight as I could not find any hotel but I found this hotel. After looking at it, I told him to do it for you and I transferred ₹1000 to him. But the talks were still going on. I asked him if food would be included in it or not, then he started refusing. But my hotel was not booked. I said, please transfer my money, you don't want to book me, then the hotel manager started fighting. He started saying, you will not get any money, you have to stay, you have to go but I was helpless. It was late at night.

First pay the full amount then I will give you the room keys.

I couldn't sleep the whole night.

What is the use of paying for such a hotel and still you can't rest in peace?

मैं हरिद्वार से चंडीगढ़ ट्रैवल किया, लेकिन मुझे रात ज्यादा होगी क्योंकि मुझे कोई होटल नहीं मिला लेकिन यह होटल मुझे मिला। देखकर उनसे बोला, वह आपको कर दो और मैं ₹1000 उनका ट्रांसफर कर दिए। लेकिन अभी बात चल ही रही थी। मैंने उनसे पूछा खाना कि इसमें इनकॉर्टेड रहेगा ना फिर वह मना करने लगे। लेकिन मेरे होटल की बुकिंग नहीं हुई थी। मैं बोला, आप मेरे पैसे ट्रांसफर कर दो, मुझे बुक नहीं करना तो फिर वह होटल का मैनेजर लड़ाई करने लगा। बोलने लगा, पैसे नहीं मिलेंगे, आपको रहना है, रहो जाना है जो लेकिन मेरे सामने मजबूरी थी। रात हो गई थी मुझे। पहले पूरे पैसे दो तब रूम की चाबी देंगे।
