Bamboo Shoots — Restaurant in Dadri

BAMBOO SHOOTS - Noida.

It all started with a casual order, placed for delivery this Monday (29th April, 2024).

The order was placed via ZOMATO App, and as is a normal process.. order placed, payment made & food got delivered.

However, on opening the food and serving the same, it was noticed that the House Special Fried Rice which was apparently a Vegetarian Dish (as per the Menu) had PRAWNS in the same, the host of the evening who is a Vegetarian herself, got the first SHOCK as soon as she ate the same. Next was my turn, I am SHELL ALLERGIC, and my threshold to endure any such touch of Shell is less than 30 minutes, during which time I need to be administered a shot via EPIPEN else the same becomes LIFE THREATENING.

Now starts the saga, we left the food on the side & proceeded with calling the Restaurant to figure out what exactly was going on and how could they do such a blunder. The first person I spoke with was called PURAN, who claimed to be the Manager, after explaining to him what had happened, HE said its not possible, and handed over the phone to another person who introduced himself as ANAND and said he was the owner, so he wanted to be updated YET again as to what was wrong with the order, I asked him to share his contact details and he FLATLY REFUSED saying that he does not want to do so, then comes the twist in the dialogue, he turns around saying that the Dish is actually NON VEG and it is Zomato’s mistake that they put it under Veg. I updated him that this is not possible as the Menu is uploaded by the Restaurant themselves and not by ZOMATO, and when I further added that maybe one person might need to visit the emergency room due to allergic reaction, he changes his tone for once saying okay, so can we work this out somehow.. to which I said NO.. and I said I am going to take this up, cause I expect a written apology, his immediate reply is that you do whatever you want to and hangs up the phone. Within the next 5 minutes the Restaurant goes about removing the dish from the Menu, which as I see today has now been moved to Non Veg section.

So the question remains what exactly did I want.. A sincere Apology from the Management and not this lackadaisical attitude of do what you want.. ! ! & Definite owning up that they made this mistake.

But alas those are dreams & aspirations we as customers have from establishments which never deliver, I am not surprised at ANAND cause I guess he has no clue about handling crucial customer interactions which would pay him dividends in the long run, but I guess as always he is looking at his Bloated EGO of being a Restaurant Owner & maybe just living off this One Outlet of his, which I don’t think is growing any further with such EGOISTIC NON FRIENDLY...

Elegant, luscious and absolutely magnificent. Good morning People !! Yesterday I visited this very iconic outlet of Noida which is not only known for their splendid Pan Asian food but also for their mind boggling aura.

The outlet is located at the downtown area of Noida sector 18 market. The aura of the outlet is compact as compare to the last one and gives you a very contemporary pan -Asian essence.

One of the food festivals was going on so we decided to take a deep dive into it by ordering chilli oil dim sum & ginger, chive chicken dim sum along with manchow chicken soup. Soup was prepared in an awe inspiring broth which was perfectly infused with the chunks of chicken. It tasted heavenly on our mouths. Chilli oil dimsum and ginger chive chicken dim sum - was literally one of the finest preparation I’ve ever seen in my life - The skin of the dim sum were so thin and juicy which defines the freshness of it. Do try it out with burnt garlic chilli - it would blow your mind away !!

Moving on to main course - We had three flavoured chicken, Hakka noodles and fried rice - The three flavoured chicken was a perfect treat for our buds - It blended so well with Hakka noodles (Thin and really good) & with fried rice as well. Little spicy but sauce was tossed with little amount of sweet essence as well - Making it oozing with both flavours.

Staff were very courteous and welcoming. They literally welcomed us in a very gracious manner & lovely smile. Also, They helped us with the recommendations. Service was done on time without any mishaps or delays.

Lastly, about the price - It’s little bit pricey but definitely worth a shot !! If they would’ve launched their branch in DLF Mall of India they could’ve created a havoc among its competitors.
