Today I visited McDonald's after almost a year. The last time was with my nephew in Chandigarh. McDonald's holds a lot of nostalgia for me—I still remember the first time I went as a child when I was in 2nd standard. My cousin took me and got me a Happy Meal. I was on cloud nine, and I still have the little Shrek Donkey toy from that day.

But with time, life got busy, the taste didn’t feel the same, and of course, I started exploring other places.

Today, due to some maintenance work at home and the electricity being out in almost 45-degree heat, I had to step out. I initially thought I’d go to Starbucks around 11 AM to cool off and get some work done. But what caught my eye was McDonald's. Something inside me just said, "Let’s give it a shot again!"

And trust me when I say—I was pleasantly surprised. The ambience was amazing—almost like Starbucks, if not better—more colorful, fresh, and inviting. The updated menu and cheerful staff really stood out.

I ordered a meal and a glass of aamras. But of course, in classic me fashion, I managed to spill the aamras all over the table and floor right before I was about to start working. My laptop, charger, everything was a mess. And I was really anxious and embarrassed.

But what happened next truly made my day. The staff came over with the warmest smiles, reassured me not to worry, and cleaned everything—including my laptop and charger—so calmly and kindly. I know some might say that’s basic courtesy, but the way they handled it, with such genuine care and positivity, really put me at ease.

And just when I thought it was over, they came back with a fresh, big mug of aamras—served with a smile, without me even asking. It’s these little gestures that make all the difference and stay with you.

So if you’re ever nearby and want to be treated kindly while enjoying a great meal, definitely visit this McDonald’s. The staff here doesn’t just serve food—they make sure you leave with a smile.
