This, so called family restaurant, is ABSOLUTELY NOT for family visit. Firstly, their food is very average. The kind of mixed veg or paneer or dal makhani is served is nothing special and you can get it at any Punjabi food outlet. This outlet is located at the food court in GIP Mall, Noida. One or men, dressed in black and white and wearing ties, will lure you to come and have a seat. Surely, some people will get attracted and that serves their purpose.
You sit on large green colour sofa. The table does not look clean. The gap between sofa and table is too less so you don't feel comfortable.
You eat the food of your choice but avoid using their bottled water. Each bottle costs in excess of ₹150 for one litre. If you have used two bottles your pocket is lighter by ₹300 approximately. Surprising, nobody has the courtesy of even asking you whether you want such an expensive bottle of water or not. The profile earning intention becomes even more evident as they lose no time in opening the bottle and pouring water into glasses. VERY UNETHICAL PRACTICE.
Dal makhani tasted average but lacked good taste of spices and the aroma. To save money and to earn better profits the management avoided adding rajma or kidney beans which is so essential in making dal makhani. At least, I had to eat such a dal makhani here. VERY DISAPPOINTING.
The rotis are another disappointment. They are very expensive, mostly made of maida which costs damn less than wheat flour. The dough used is small and later stretched to make it look large. As a result the chspati that comes out of tandoor is thin from the centre, light in weight and fails to fill your stomach. VERY POOR.
At the end when you come out of the restaurant after having your meal you are not satisfied and you may even regret spending a large sum here. Of course the cost of food plus taxes plus the very, very expensive water bottles of water ad up to a handsome bill amount. NO HAPPY FEELING. I got into their 'trap' once but you should think twice before making an entry.

Read moreUnjustified Staff Centre Charges at Strings Bar - The Punjabis Family Restro Bar at 325A, 3rd floor, The Great India Place, Sector-38A, Noida. On our visit to Strings Bar - The Punjabis Family Restro Bar, we ordered food amounting to ₹1335/-. However, the final bill included an unexplained additional charge of ₹133.50 labeled as a "Staff Centre Charge" — equal to 10% of the bill — which was not disclosed transparently. After applying GST, the total payable amount rose to ₹1542/-.
Upon reviewing the bill, we noticed that this extra charge was vaguely referenced and seemingly hidden within the bill description. When we politely questioned the legitimacy of the charge and expressed our unwillingness to pay it, the staff avoided addressing the concern.
Such practices raise questions about transparency and ethical billing, especially when customers are not informed clearly or given a choice. It’s important that charges like service fees are communicated upfront and not imposed forcefully.
I am not sure if they all are aware of that we can request to have the service charge removed from your restaurant bill. Service charges are not mandatory and should not be imposed without your consent, according to the Ministry of Consumer Affairs. If a restaurant insists on charging you a service charge, you can politely ask for it to be removed or escalate the issue to consumer protection authorities, according to consumer...

Visited this restaurant hoping for a decent meal, but it turned out to be a complete disaster.
They lure you in with so-called discounts, only to casually mention after you’ve placed your order that the offer is applicable only on drinks. This condition was nowhere clearly communicated upfront, which is just a shady way to manipulate customers.
The menu shows “half” and “full” for most dishes, but no guidance from the staff on what’s ideal for two people. If you’re not familiar with their portion sizes, you either end up over-ordering or wasting food. The staff should assist in making sensible choices — but clearly, customer care isn’t a priority here.
To make things worse, the ambience was absolutely horrible. There was a strong unpleasant smell, visible moisture on the walls, and the furniture was old and poorly maintained. Definitely not the kind of place you’d want to sit and enjoy your food.
And the final insult? ₹2,000 bill for just one Dal, one Palak Paneer, and two Naan. No premium ingredients, no great service — just plain robbery. On top of that, they sneak in some “staff contribution charges” in the bill without even explaining what that is. Seriously?
If you’re thinking of dining here, don’t waste your time, money, or mood. There are far better places with honesty, hygiene, and...
