The Worst Dining Experience of My Life – A Masterclass in How Not to Run a Restaurant
Let me save you the pain: DO. NOT. GO. HERE. This place is not just bad — it’s an insult to food, service, hospitality, and basic human decency.
From the moment I stepped in, I should’ve known this was a mistake. The entrance smelled like a damp storeroom, and the ambience felt like a forgotten bus stop — dingy, loud, chaotic, and utterly depressing. If this was supposed to be “welcoming,” I’d hate to see what they consider a disaster.
The staff looked like they were either kidnapped and forced to work or straight-up sleepwalking. Clueless, poorly dressed, zero sense of coordination, and no training in sight. I’ve seen more professionalism at a roadside tea stall.
Now the food. Where do I begin?
The buffet spread was pathetic — a grand total of 7-8 items, most of which looked like they had already been served to someone else and brought back.
Everything tasted like it was cooked three days ago and reheated in a microwave from 1998.
The starters were cold, the gravy was watery, the rice was clumpy, and the desserts were probably frozen blocks that had been left out too long.
I wouldn't feed that food to a stray dog, let alone pay for it.
As for hygiene — laughable. Sticky floors, greasy chairs, dirty cutlery, stained plates, and flies hovering over food trays. If there was a health inspection happening that day, they’d be shut down in 5 minutes flat.
Let’s talk about decor — or rather, the absolute absence of it. Random plastic flowers, broken fixtures, dusty corners, and a weird smell that lingered throughout the entire space. The whole vibe screamed cheap banquet hall that hasn’t seen a renovation since 2005.
Music? Loud, annoying, and clashing with the chaos around. At some point, I couldn’t decide if I was in a restaurant or trapped in a circus.
I left within 40 minutes — not because I was done, but because I couldn’t take another second of the torture. Honestly, I should’ve walked out the moment I saw the first table being wiped with what looked like a used napkin.
Verdict: Avoid this place like the plague. I wouldn’t return here even if I was starving. This wasn’t just a bad meal — it was a full-on experience in regret, disgust, and fury. They shouldn’t be allowed to run a kitchen, let alone call themselves a restaurant.
0/10. I’d rather eat instant noodles at home than set foot in this...
Read moreWe have been to this restaurant multiple times, but this time, I've decided to leave detailed feedback. We ordered the following items:
Starting with Shorba, none of the yellow chili's have option called one-by-two (if you understand what I mean) but this outlet do have an option of ordering half portion wherein ordering two half portion will cost you more than 1 full portion (because the quantity will also be more than 1 full portion). So, like all the yellow Chilli outlets I've gone to, I ordered 1 Shorba and an extra 🥣 and divided the shorba in two parts by ourselves. It turned out to be the right decision because this was the worst Shorba you can have anywhere. It was so watered down that it felt more like stock than Shorba. Won't go in anymore details about it. Just don't order it as it'll be a complete waste of time and money.
Tawa fish was okay, especially since I liked the portion size. Taste wise was also okay. They serve it with a white chutney (not mayonnaise but was probably made out of curd) which was really very bad in taste and was not going well with the fish at all but fish itself can be enjoyed without that stupid white chutney and with the other mint chutney.
Bhuna Gosht was really good both taste wise and tenderness wise. Loved it.
Missi roti was nothing special and actually was less than the average, and plain roti was just average. Also, if I decide based on the cost of value (taste against the price), then it is definitely below average.
Coming to the cost part, I believe it was okay and if all the dishes would have tasted good then it would be considered as genuine pricing but the overall average (or less than average taste wise) performance leaves things lacking.
Finally, as I mentioned earlier that I've been to this outlet multiple times and try to order food items across the menu, but I always come back with mixed feelings. It's always like this, some items are good (especially mutton items, as per my observations), but many of the items are pretty...
