Babu Shahi Bawarchi — Restaurant in Delhi

Not recommended! I'll tell you why.....last week we planned to have biryani for dinner but not too fancy..we wanted it simple from the streets so didn't bother to look for so call well known restaurants n all..... But found this place on Google .... I called them & then visited actually there are 4-5 different outlets for biryani altogether in a series...so first I got little confused but found it at the end of the line....the price for 1 kg of biryani was INR 600, but 1 kg of what?....I asked him he said its the weight of chicken...... really 😂...i said then....he said total weight is actually 3-4 kg chicken & rice altogether ........I couldn't be more happy I said ok ...he packed & gave it to me.... actually it was around 3-4 kg .....but...😂......but it was only rice weight I don't think chicken was even a half kg.....now taste ....its a total waste....no ingredient except pickel...... yeah you heard me right......it was only pickel we can find when it comes to taste....not a good...

Babu Shahi bawarchi is located near Pragati maidan inside Matka Peer Dargah premise. This little shop is very old and serve authentic mughlai Biryani in typical delhi style. Few years ago this place known to be the best biryani shop in Delhi but now a days they lost their taste and fame. They hygiene level is below average at this place even you can say very poor in hygiene, utensils are very dirty and a quirky smell present at shop every time. There are some more biryani shops and stalls started in the same premise of Dargah Matka Peer one of them is golden biryani you can try biryani and kebabs at Golden Biryani this place is much more Cleaner...

Today I ordered Chicken Biryani, Chicken Korma and Khamiri Roti from so called famous Babu Shahi Bawarchi at Matka Peer Dargah located near pragati maidaan. I don't know why people make so noise about this place. I don't feel it's worthy at all. Chicken biryani and chicken Korma of this place is same as you find at any other street in delhi. Taste is so similar to the biryanis which I had roadside. But people says matka Peer biryani is out of the world blah blah blah it's just ordinary biryani which we all find anywhere roadside in delhi. So I am not recommending it to anyone.
