One of the Worst Service Experiences – 0 Stars if Possible
Food and ambience were good, but the service was absolutely pathetic and ruined the entire evening.
Reservation & Waiting: Despite having a confirmed reservation, we were made to wait for 20 minutes. That itself set a bad tone.
Drinks Served Like a Relay Race: We ordered 4 drinks. Naturally, one expects them to be served together. Instead, they arrived one after another – the first two within short gaps, the third after 10 minutes, and the last one after almost 20 minutes of the first drink. By then, the first drink was already half finished and watered down with melted ice. This completely killed the mood.
Starters – Clear Instructions Ignored: We specifically requested for both starters to be served together. We repeated it multiple times, even wrote it down and underlined it. Still, they failed to follow the instruction.
Basic Hospitality Missing: We noted chilled water and after asking multiple times they served us and room-temperature water instead. Even the simplest requests were ignored.
Main Course – Shocking Mismanagement: We ordered 3 main courses, again asking for them to arrive together. After waiting 30 minutes, we had to call the manager. To our disbelief, he admitted that our order hadn’t even been placed, when I told him about starter, drinks and water, his excuse? “Our servers can’t hear or speak properly.” This was both shocking and unprofessional. Even after that, the promise of timely service was broken – dishes kept coming one by one, each 10 minutes apart.
Note I specifically wrote and underlined everything out
Therefore The servers seemed active, but their lack of basic training and professionalism was evident. I believe what you guys are doing is great but but shouldn't be an excluse for your lack of skills and basic observation. If people are paying we expect good hospitalily as well and here, the service was the worst I’ve ever experienced.
My advice: Invest in proper training for your staff. Until then, please do not expect...
Read moreWe visited this restaurant/bar for the first time after seeing one of their Instagram posts. While we truly appreciate their effort in employing staff members who are hearing or speech impaired — and must say, they were efficient and very polite — the overall experience was unfortunately disappointing.
The person at the entrance was quite blunt and unwelcoming. He insisted we should have made a reservation, something we weren’t informed about. It was a Thursday evening, so we didn’t expect a wait, but were told it would take 30–40 minutes for a table. Communication was unclear, and I had to ask several times to understand what he was saying.
I had already spoken to the manager, Amit, more than an hour before arriving and informed him that we were planning to come. I even checked beer prices with him, and he mentioned Corona was on a deal at ₹209 + taxes. However, upon arrival, we were told the price was ₹337 + taxes — quite a big difference. When I brought up the issue of not being informed about the need to book, Amit initially denied it and claimed he had told me to reserve — which wasn’t true. Ironically, within 10 minutes of that conversation, we were given a table, which made the earlier insistence on waiting seem unnecessary.
To add to it, Amit seemed unfamiliar with his own menu and pricing. When questioned, he said the menu was new — a surprising response coming from a manager.
While the concept of inclusive hiring is genuinely commendable and the specially-abled staff are doing an excellent job, the management and overall customer handling leave a lot of room for...
Read moreI recently had a very disappointing experience at Echoes, Kailash Colony. To begin with, it’s 2025, and somehow, the restaurant still had no gluten-free or dairy-free options on the menu. When I asked to speak with the chef, the manager, Amit, bluntly refused, saying he can’t call the chef. I then requested a basic off-menu dish to accommodate my dietary needs, but that too was denied.
Things got weirder. After we mentioned we might leave a review on Zomato, the same manager, Amit, came back to our table mid-conversation and actually asked us which Zomato or Swiggy ID we’d be using to post it—like he was going to log in and reply before we even wrote it! Super strange and totally unprofessional.
Then came the water situation. We asked for regular drinking water and were told they only serve bottled water. I mean, how exactly is the kitchen functioning if there’s no tap water? Are they boiling pasta in Himalayan spring water? Cooking rice with Evian? If so, the prices on the menu should’ve been ₹1,500 for Maggi. Ahaha!
To top it all off, my friends’ food took forever to arrive, and the service was painfully slow. Manager Amit lacked even the basics of customer service—and yes, he rolled his eyes at us. Twice.
Would not recommend… unless you’re in the mood for a truly strange and...
