I had dinner with my family here one night.
We began by ordering two soups (a tomato soup and sweet and sour soup). The tomato soup was watery and tasted very artificial in flavor. The garlic bread that came with it was simply one piece of toast cut diagonally with a small amount of garlic spread. The sweet and sour soup was complex in flavor and tasty but still quite watery and had the same boring toast. Overall the soup was bland and generic.
Next we had the kadai chicken with four butter chapatis and two chapatis without butter. AVOID the kadai chicken, it was extremely oily and only had 4-5 small pieces of chicken. It was mostly filled with onion and other vegetables that were also soaked in oil. The chapatis were good and larger than expected.
The service was slow and our server took almost 15 minutes to bring us our change which was quite concerning (we thought he wasn't coming back with it).
The ambientence is the highlight of this restaurant with an awesome view of old Delhi. Nepalese decor too which was fascinating.
For these reasons I rate Everest 2/5...

ย ย ย Read moreEverest cafe is actually at apex....... Let's talk about food first.......which is below then average. I ordered italian salad which was simply mixture of raw veggies with mayonnaise. Veg thali was quite good in taste just a bit overpriced as par the food served.
Chowmein was overpriced with no such special ingredients.
I think they are confused with their pricelist as jeera rice is at 80 while veg rice is 160 which is just not worth.
Now lets talk about ambience......which is the only pro about this place. Also they have plenty of books kept in shelf for erudites.
As a cafe for tea/coffee hangout this a finest place with scenic rooftop and herbal breeze (as they have planted lemongrass, cannabis and basil).
