The Vivek Hotel — Hotel in Delhi

Stayed for two nights. Room was generally dirty. Toilet had stains of wet urine and reeked of sewage. Staff consisted of a strange crowd of men, not always knowing what they were doing, and neither interested in helping out.

We visited the in-house travel agency to book transportation for the remainder of our journey. The travel agent was helpful, but we weren't sure if the purchase was clean or if they charged us more than necessary since we did not receive the original receipts from the airlines. When we asked for the original receipts, the travel agent gave us a lot of trouble and we had to call the hotel owner to sort things out.

On top of that, the travel agent had arranged transportation for us to get us from the hotel to the bus that would take us to our next destination, which we had to pay extra for. You would think that this cost should be included when paying for the rest of our transportations. But instead we are taken to a corner down the street by a man we have never met before, where a rickshaw awaits us. The man says that we have to pay 300 rupees for the rickshaw, just like everyone else. We reluctantly agree with the motivation that we are going to miss the bus otherwise. While the rickshaw is driving away, the man tauntingly shouts "Don't miss the bus".

Moreover, be aware of that the hotel is located on a very busy and hectic street. The noise level is high around the clock. We had to sleep with ear plugs. Hot water had to be "ordered" at the reception, but water was still cold. Wifi works only in the lobby.

Just don't stay here. We made that mistake after a recommendation from an acquaintance. There are better options in...

I booked this hotel though Oyo. First the photos in the app look wonderful. When you enter the hotel its totally junk and you will get shocked. It just does not match the app photos.||||Pros: There are very few good points.||- Close to market.||- close to RK ashram metro station. walkable distance.||||Cons: Here comes the important points before you book this hotel||- The place is dirty. The linen and towels are not clean. the bathroom is also not very clean.||- The fittings are about to fall off and very old.||- No ventilation in the rooms. ||- The complimentary breakfast is not great and not much options. There is no wash basin in the restaurant. I booked for 2 adults and 1 child in the app and still they did not provide for my daughter. I had to pay extra. Totally disappointing.
