Quite a disappointment. This outlet draws quite a bit of crowd because of it's location. To that end, the service is certainly poor and indifferent. The cost of eating at this place is pretty high and paying customers really do not deserve this kind of treatment. Overall hygiene, customer service, food quality and ambience are all pretty much low on the satisfaction scale.
The cleaning of the tables is scary- a dirty looking youngster roams around with a dry sponge and a red tray. As soon as a customer vacates their table, he approaches and swipes the leftover food on the tray with his sponge. That is it. No water, wet wipe or even a cursory tissue paper. The red tray is the same as the ones on which they serve the food. Who knows which one will be picked up for garbage service tomorrow?
The staff looked busy but were constantly on their mobiles. They chatted amongst themselves and even argued. Several of them were not wearing the plastic gloves and were handling food directly with their hands. I saw one man scratch his head and then pick up a piece of bread from the toaster. They do not even provide tomato sauce sachets unless the customer specifically asks for them.
The floor manager was a busy young executive who remained glued to his mobile the entire time I was there i.e. about an hour. He was constantly moving around but would neither look around him nor make eye contact with any customer or staff, leave alone approach them.
It was evident that the people serving food behind the counters were untrained - from the rude way in which they respond and sometimes ignore customers. Not a smile or even a pleasant look from any of them.
The payment counter is an exercise in patience, with no queues or management. Customers jostle each other and he who shouts loudest gets...
Read moreReview of Haldirams at Pacific Mall, Tagore Garden, New Delhi
I’ve been a regular visitor to the Haldirams outlet at Pacific Mall in Tagore Garden, and it has consistently met my expectations for casual dining. This branch encapsulates the essence of Haldirams—offering a diverse range of Indian snacks and meals at reasonable prices.
First off, the food here is decent. While it may not be five-star cuisine, it strikes a fine balance between taste and affordability. The menu is extensive, featuring everything from quick bites to full meals, catering to a variety of preferences. I recently ordered the chole bhature, a popular street food favourite, and I must say it lived up to its reputation. The chole were flavourful, and the bhature were perfectly puffed and crispy, making for a satisfying meal that I would happily order again.
One thing to keep in mind, however, is the bustling atmosphere of this outlet. During peak hours, the counter can get quite busy, leading to potentially long wait times. It's best to visit during off-peak hours if you want to avoid the rush and enjoy your meal without feeling rushed.
Despite the occasional wait, Haldirams remains a great value dining option in the mall. The food is consistently good, and the prices are budget-friendly, making it an ideal spot for a casual meal or a quick snack. Overall, if you're looking for hearty Indian fare without breaking the bank, Haldirams at Pacific Mall is certainly...
Read moreI had the most horrible experience with the Sunday brunch (October 2, 2022) that I was otherwise looking forward to. We used the scanner option on the table for ordering food. After 5 minutes a person in a red t-shirt came and said that the food would be delivered to the table. However, after a wait of 20 minutes, we went to the counter and were handed two of the four things we had ordered. After enquiring about the other two items, we were told that one (dahi puchkas) were getting ready and lemonade was not available. While our first two dishes got cold, we were running from one person to another asking for help. Finally, an arrogant-looking floor manager told us that lemonade was not available, and when we asked him about another choice or refund, he told us to take badam milk. We requested him for another choice. Finally, when we got everything on the table, we had to eat grilled sandwiches that had become cold, and so were the matar kulchas. The dahi-puchkas had become soggy. We asked at the counter if we had to pay anything extra and we were told that we will be refunded Rs 20. After somehow eating the cold food, we went to the counter and even after requesting umpteen times, we had to wait for 15 minutes. We finally decided to leave without the refund amount. I don't think we will be visiting this...
